I am toying with the idea of getting rid of my current Bronco for another. Non of the Bronco's at the time had subwoofers in them. I am just wondering if it can be turned off and on? I know it is not a great sub, but would rather have it off when the dogs in the back. Thinking no since there is an option to get the Bronco without the Sub?
-My dog thanks you for your support.

Yes it can be controlled, but it's not something that can easily be turned on/off at-will via the infotainment screen.

EDIT— So.... the Great Porcelain Throne of Ideas just gave me another idea that actually is fairly simple: You can simply pull the fuse for the subwoofer amplifier when you don't want to use it.

Probably the best you can do is turn the bass all the way down. Unless you want to take the panel of and unplug it.

I will start off saying unless you have the radio cranked all the way up the sub isn’t going to move enough air to bother a dog, heck, not even a fly. And even then if you were to try, the screeching of the 4” speakers will hurt your ears before the sub will bother you.

But yeah, @RagnarKon had the best idea - pull the fuse if you don’t want to disable it in Forscan

I was hoping for something in the infotainment screen. At least it is doable in one form or another. If the sub has it's own fuse, that'll work for me.

I did have a laugh at all the weak subwoofer comments when searching for this info. Maybe the 25's will have a better one? It looks like Heritage order bank doesn't open till next year.

I’ve replaced my sub with a 500W unit and even that doesn’t phase my 3 dogs. I also don’t run with it cranked crazy loud with them in the car.

Obligatory warning that we have no idea if Heritage will continue into 2025.

When Heritage was originally announced, it was stated to be a 2023/2024 exclusive (the wording was a bit ambiguous). Plans of course can change, and I won't pretend to know everything the Bronco team has planned for 2025. But if you are waiting to order a Heritage... may be waiting for a very long time.

I had no idea about this! Ugh. Ford is killing every desire I want in the Bronco and it started right after I was not able to get my original Anti Mater blue. I truly hope that this is not true. I do appreciate the information.

Honestly, I just unplugged and pulled my sub amp out, and left the fuse in. A lot of folks put a different amp in it's place, and with nothing plugged into the harness it won't hurt anything to leave the fuse there.

The sub amp is sitting in my closet.

I don't think that fuse powers anything else, so pulling it should be ok to, but I've not tried it to see if it has any unintended consequences.

10-4. I don’t wanna tear in there if I don’t have to. New sub is that self powered 10 inch kicker box.

So I did end up going with a new 25.
After all the talk on the forums I expected the sub to be a non factor. Ford might have upped their game? IDK... I think that it is not a plate rattling machine but does the job. No that I have it, it's not a big deal for the dog and I am just mindful about the volume when she's in it.
