Electrical gremlin that neither us nor the dealer could figure out. Was throwing codes and going into limp mode while wheeling so we originally thought TCase clutch, as it only did it in 4L. Dealer couldn’t replicate. But then it did it in 2H on a long trip. .... Gonna be nice for whoever buys it ...
Buying someone else's headache is never going to be nice no mater how many "upgraded" parts 🤠

It’s true. And not upgraded-just new.

I tell myself that the dealer will be able to find the problematic module now that it’s doing it in 2H. There are three modules that aren’t communicating with Forscan (latest update complete) so they’ll be able to start from there. Also putting the old Bilstein’s on so I’m pretty sure the dealer can’t even sell it until that recall is complete. Though I could be wrong on that.

Hopefully they'll get it sorted. Good luck with the new ride 🤠

Thanks man. Doing what I can to not screw the next owners. EG-We had a spare steering rack with us on the trail. Buddy broke his rack and had a spare at the hotel. Gave him our spare on the trail and took his spare when we got home. Went to install his spare in the 2022 and the locking tab for one of the plugs was broken off. I just couldn’t do it. Already had it mounted too. So, pulled the thing and gave them the brand new Hoss 3.0 we just pulled from the 2024. The modules are a different animal but that’s on the dealer and it’s still under the bumper to bumper warranty anyway, though I’m not sure how that goes with the dealer taking it in on trade 🤔

I believe the correct word on the B6G forum is “Asshat.” With a capital A. @Danielsand can confirm.

Electrical gremlin that neither us nor the dealer could figure out. Was throwing codes and going into limp mode while wheeling so we originally thought TCase clutch, as it only did it in 4L. Dealer couldn’t replicate. But then it did it in 2H on a long trip. Decided to find a white 2024 WT with the same options but softtop as we’ll swap the Armadillo top over. Bought the 24 about a month ago and it’s just been sitting at the dealership, waiting for us to get it. Funny that I have yet to even drive it. Went straight into the garage and we started stripping it. Gonna be nice for whoever buys it as the M210/CV’s, Hoss 3.0 steering rack, seats, fenders, tires, top, axles and a few other things, will be brand new. And now that it’s throwing codes in 2H the dealer will be able to find the affected module(s) and get that fixed too. (Hopefully)

Wifey is improving on her welding skills too.

There are "asshats", and there are The Asshats (there IS a difference you know).

Joking aside,....I am completely blown away with the work you put in this Bronco (that's one thing), the other is a "welding wife". OMG!! Mine is good at one thing (well two actually)....working with her scalpel. When it comes to ANY tools outside of the O.R. .....she cannot tell you the difference between the Phillips, and a flat blade.

That’s where she was at when we originally started the build. Didn’t know the difference between a screwdriver and a hammer, as she likes to say. Terrified of pulling panels. Now she’s all about busting out the cutting wheel. And welding! She’s actually welding the double shear UCA bolt brackets on right now as I type this response 🤣

There are two things women do that turn ANY man "red hot" (at least the men in my neck of the woods). Good looking women that can "wrench", and handle guns with authority.

Need to be careful with these posts before my homies get all worked up. Though this one she isn’t able to shoulder fire, so I’m not certain it counts as “authoritative” handling

Now you are really making me red with envy. A woman that can weld AND handle a .50cal Barrett!? I knew you are a lucky bastard when I first met you.
