CA Compliant Ford Tune performance figures?

Now that the Ford Tune is approved in CA for 22+ Bronco’s, has anyone seen the real world gain numbers for the 2.7 using our available 91 Octane gas? I did a search but didn’t see anything. TIA!

The gains are very minimal even according to Ford/Livernois
The seat of the pants feeling is because of the added throttle advance voltage percentage. In other words it's a VERY mild tune combined with a single setting "pedal commander".
It depends on the dyno, the weather, and a myriad of other factors but it's 5-10 hp and maybe 10-15 lb tq.

Unless you are handicapped by warranty fears (Fords Cal must be installed by Dealer or ASE to remain compliant), the Whipple Stage 1 kit smokes it, all while being 50 state compliant & can purchase a warranty thru them if you choose

I am a little concerned about my Warranty, I didn’t purchase an extended but still have 2 years and/or 27,000 miles of Bumper to Bumper left. If the gains are minimal with the Ford tune I may just wait and do the Whipple when the warranty expires. Whipple is actually local to me

Understandable, I would wait as well in that case. As mentioned, to keep the warranty with the Ford Cal you have to have someone Ford approves of to install it costing much more than it should. Buying the warranty from Whipple also adds cost but you can flash it yourself.
Is yours a 2.3 or 2.7? I have the 2.7 with the Whipple Stage 1 & it rocks! You can compare both dyno charts & see the improvement down low & through out is non comparable.

Well I hope Whipple's tune for the Fords is better than their tune for Mopars.
I had a 2.9 Whipple on my Ram 1500 and their tune SUCKED. Like putting a hole in the block bad.
There doesn't seem to be a lot of good tuning options yet.

I'm getting my 2.7 tune installed tomorrow. You can find an ASE installer to do it for 150-175. It’s barely an hour of work.
