I replaced my front and rear bumpers and some of the sensors never really worked right afterwards so I went into the menus and turned them off. I’ve never had a vehicle with bumper sensors so I’m not missing anything and don’t really care about them. Two updates ago my sensors starting going off in heavy stop and go traffic. Even going off if no one around me. I went back in the menu and sure enough everything is still turned off. I’m also getting a message on the dash that pops up occasionally that a sensor is blocked, but nothing is blocked, sensors are clean, and like I said, turned off. It’s driving me nuts. What the hell. Anyone else experiencing this or having problems from one of the last updates. I’ve had them turned off for a year with no problems and now this.

I had a problem because one of those hard-to-plugin plugs wasn't plugged all the way in. Once I got it plugged all the way in, it stopped. You might see if you can get a diagnostic to see if there's any trouble codes being thrown.

Those sensors need to fit into the bumper opening just right, if they aren’t aimed correctly or if the silicone rubber cushion surrounding them is pinched or bound up they can trigger false alarms or sensor blocked messages.

I’ve heard. And they didn’t work right after bumper replacement, so I turned them off in the menus. I didn’t care because I’ve never had a vehicle with sensors so no big loss. But why are they going off when they are turned off. They have been off for a year with no problems. After an update they started going off and I don’t know why.

They may have decided to update them so they can’t be turned off, maybe for liability reasons. I don’t know.
