What Light Bar are you thinking for the mounts? I'm thinking BD S8:)
We are a Diode Dynamics dealer so we will run that but always try to make everything somewhat universal to allow other brands to work as well

You're not wrong. Still working on the best option that balances, cost, fabrication time, ease of installation, functionality, and style.
Honestly, if you simply came up with an conversion kit to mount the Rough Country Nudge Bar behind/using the bolt holes for the integrated tow hooks on the capable bumper, I’d bet there’d be a huge market!

One of the options I looked at was using those bolt holes. I wasn't finding a layout I liked. I also worked on replacing the tow hooks on the capable bumper but that requires fabricating a plate to mount the sensors. I will come up with a solution shortly because I need to get on to the Modular bumper and do what I want for it so I can get to designing my complete bumper.

For what it's worth the same tow brackets can be used for both bumpers. Just needs clearanced plastic covers. So maybe a plate sandwiched between, and a new cover, or the old cover could be modified.

Also found this today, honestly, I might spring for it, tired of waiting and this is right up the alley for what I’ve been looking for! Not the most aesthetic, but I can mount some KC lights!

It’s interesting that Nacho isn’t showing this on their website anymore. The mounting of this seems to be the way to go for the capable bumper if the main purpose to mount lights. To move bulls in the pasture, maybe not so much.

I was curious about that myself, kind of bizarre, as long as its available through a third party.. found it on stickerfab too after finding out it was a thing and searching specifically for it, of course they’re out of stock.

DV8 just came out with this ā€œFactory Capable Front Bumper Bull Barā€ for $189.99

still requires drilling into the capable bumper itself, so I’m not not quite sure how it’s different from anything else you can bolt on that’s made for the modular, it hey, they thought about us! lol.

anyone else having luck lately?

I have the DV8 one, no real issues drilling out the holes to mount. As for other options, there aren't any that aren't already posted yet but IAG did post that they're close. I do like the DV8 version though, not sure how else you can mount it on the capable bumper without drilling some holes.

Here's what I posted up ...

I like what you did. Especially that it retains the utility of the tow loops. I’m not 100% against drilling into the capable bumper. I just think it’s lame to market it to the capable bumper community and unnecessary, especially seeing some of the previously mentioned available bars; specifically Nacho’s and the extreme terrain one available for the plastic bumper. If I were going to drill, I prefer Zroads, they’ve got more space for lights, DV8s maxes out at two… though I don’t like that Zroad only sells it as a kit with their pods. I want KCs.

I'm not sure if you could use anything that was designed to fit the modular bumper or not, I'm sure the curve is just enough off for it not to fit the same. I don't know why Ford couldn't have drilled out a few mounting points on the capable bumper for accessories but I guess it would compete against the modular at that point.

The DV8 does have 2 brackets that you can flip depending on what you want so depending on how many you want to mount you could make a cross-bar for more than 2 lights but overall the width of the bar looks the same. I've been deciding what to put on mine, the bare bar looks lonely so I'll probably just go with their 20" light bar and mount it inside.

If you take a wide view on this option, it is a universal solution. Would work just as well on anything with a metal bumper, not Bronco specific.

What we developed is a system, more than just a bar. It will have options for other add-ons as well. Our option will have more parts to it, but doesn't require you to modify any stock components. That is one key design feature we always incorporate.

Sounds good, a little late for me but still looking forward to seeing what IAG offers.

The mounting "works" but it is not well designed.
I only say "works" because it allows you to mount lights "on" the Broncos 'capable bumper' and it is secure but the second you need your lights and the road is anything but smooth asphalt, they bounce around. This cause the light beams to be constantly vibrating and at times shining them outside of where I placed them. After an hour of seeing this I was starting to get a headache.

I am very much looking forward to what IAG is bringing to the table. Ran a few of their products on my STi including the AOS and I am stoked to see what they got instore for the Broncos!
