Replaced all 5 of the 4-inch speakers with Infinity 4032's. No Bass blockers we used, just the signal that was coming into the Ford 4 inch speakers. This made a decent improvement in sound quality (more presence / life like / better highs).

Replaced the 6.5" kick panel speakers with JBL601CF components and did not use the tweeter. Added 6.5" foam trim rings. This too was worth the effort, with the mids and upper bass being tighter and more distinct.

This leaves the sub:

Seems we have a DVC sub.
@B-rad351 connected both positives & negatives together and wired in a DS18 SLC8S sub.
@2022 base fitted in a MB Quart Discuss but powered it off a different amp.

there's a couple of questions here:
What other drop in subs have people powered with the B&O amp? how did it sound?

And, if I decided to go the AMP route, it the simplest way to route the B&O speaker lead to the sub , thru the enclosure to the high level inputs of the amp and then route the amp output back thru the enclosure and back to the sub?

Thanks

I did that MB Quart sub on my B&O for 4 weeks or so...for the money it's better....then I got a loaded Hertz EBX25.5 NOS enclosure ( similar to a Cento now) and twisted both positives together and the two negatives and was way better.

Then I discovered my Kenwood XR1001.1 summed the B&O output (high level) flattening the signal and eliminating bass roll off so installed that - a massive upgrade with HPF set at 80 and LPF at 30. Transformative....sounds amazing.

I heard the Kenwood 8" loaded enclosure really put out the bass....

Im gonna throw out the MB Quart sub. Glad I did not buy a $400 8" sub to try and make the B&O work.

XR1001.1 is not cheap Im sure there are other 1000W mono that accept high level and sum otherwise a wavtech link 2 will sum high level signal then plug into any 1000W mono amp....what ever is cheaper at the time.
