Replaced all 5 of the 4-inch speakers with Infinity 4032's. No Bass blockers we used, just the signal that was coming into the Ford 4 inch speakers. This made a decent improvement in sound quality (more presence / life like / better highs).
Replaced the 6.5" kick panel speakers with JBL601CF components and did not use the tweeter. Added 6.5" foam trim rings. This too was worth the effort, with the mids and upper bass being tighter and more distinct.
This leaves the sub:
Seems we have a DVC sub.
@B-rad351 connected both positives & negatives together and wired in a DS18 SLC8S sub.
@2022 base fitted in a MB Quart Discuss but powered it off a different amp.
there's a couple of questions here:
What other drop in subs have people powered with the B&O amp? how did it sound?
And, if I decided to go the AMP route, it the simplest way to route the B&O speaker lead to the sub , thru the enclosure to the high level inputs of the amp and then route the amp output back thru the enclosure and back to the sub?
Thanks
