On Jeeps it's called a stinger bar and used to help prevent tip overs on steep declines. I installed one on my 2018 JKU and it looked cool but in Florida, I never got in the situation where the decline angle warranted a stinger. I think I'll wait a bit.

They should have just called it a bull bar because it’s not really a brush guard..think metal around headlights to deflect limbs.

I never understood brush guards, except maybe those ones you see on commercial vehicles that have expanded metal covering the entire grill. Actual brush has branches that stick out and will pierce right through your radiator/intercooler whether or not you have one little bar going across maybe 10% of the grill.

I'm going to be pissed if I ordered the original design and they change it to that garbage. I could care less if it blocks the BRONCO logo. If you don't know its a bronco you're an idiot.
