I called Ford Customer Relations today just to see what their response would be. I was told specifically that ALL reservation holders would receive a communication (email) advising us of our delivery estimate. Of course as a day 1 +2:03 FE who has still yet to receive a production email I took her statement with a grain of salt.

I got two calls from my dealer today....
The first was a rather interesting offer to buy back my Mustang. The second one was my salesperson asking me if I heard anything yet on my Bronco because he hasn't.

Talk about a bummer of a day.

Only FE and VIP orders are being scheduled this week. Those emails will go out Thursday.
  • 21MY Bronco Scheduling – On Thursday, May 20th, only First Edition and VIP Bronco orders will be selected for scheduling.
  • 21MY Bronco – Please confirm your unscheduled retail reservation orders in WBDO are correct with the customer prior to them being scheduled.
Wtf is scheduling?? Something different than your build week??

I don't expect myself to be classified as a VIP...but this Bronco (if the deal is done)will be my 11th brand new Ford...and I'm a former employee, getting a pension check every month...I don't imagine there are 3000 priority customers who can do much better...just saying..what really constitute's a priority..VIP Ford buyer..?

Where are the emails?
All of the previews dropped so the system is either processing and doesn't show on our end yet, emails may be coming later today OR Ford just wanted to troll a bunch of folks this week. Maybe, possibly, one or two of the three.

Whoops, preview back up, still the same 5 showing from previous day.

Did we ever figure out the difference between VIP and Priority? Or is it the same thing? And if different, do we know how many VIP orders there will be?

Well no email here. Not surprising. But oh look, Fords taking reservations ($100 per) for a new vehicle! I’m starting to feel like a Bernie Madoff investor.

That makes no sense. How could Ford possibly know which customers at all the dealers a crossed the country should be designated as VIPs or priority builds. Unless, they are cherry picking builds they want to make sure are on the street. Which would piss me off even more and make the whole reservation thing even more of a joke than it already is.
They know who they are because most of them have some type of relationship with Ford at a very high level. They're not just customers who Ford picked and said, you're a VIP. In my case, one is a well known actor, who actually does business with us normally anyways, so he got that designation without having to go through us first. The other two we had labeled as VIP are a major off road producer of parts, and they had a contact with Ford through SEMA. I can get Ford wanting to get them their two Broncos early since they're going to be doing product development on it and they've had a long relationship with Ford. So in a nutshell, I had 3, out of hundreds of orders.

They are different, and no we don't know the total number of either. We know what each store got, but not the totality.

My preview today is different than yesterday. Two of mine dropped off completely. The others are all the same as yesterday.

The only order terminology I'm familiar with are FCTP/mannequin, priority (dealer selected order selection limited to one or two), stock (not happening until '23?), retail (all builds not a manny or stock currently) as relates to Bronco as of now. Priority numbers all fall within one of these order types. There are other types like fleet/commercial but that ain't happening with Bronco for awhile.

Not sure where the VIP thing came from but I suspect it's being used to refer to priority builds. I suppose Ford could have "special" builds in the mix somewhere for executives or high profile orders but I haven't seen or heard anything that would support my theory.

The production order is FCTP-priority-anything else they can build in some semblance of order across the whole dealer body. At least this is my understanding.

@Bronco wannabe

Oh so Ford picks the VIPs...and it's in addition to priority builds? Any sense on how many of these exist? Even it it's two per dealer, that could mean upwards of 6k additional builds put ahead of us.

Do these count against your allocation? Meaning do they bump regular customers down/off the 2021 list?
