Excellent advise, I learned this technique years ago but not many people know how to do it. One way to do it is left foot on the brake, bring rpms up to about 1500 and maintain, release some pressure on the break peddle to move forward.Almost all serious rock crawlers and buggies have automatics. One of the ways you can use it to your advantage is left foot brake while giving it gas to climb a ledge. It keeps the suspension loaded and allows control of speed while keeping forward motion going. It took me a long time to learn that as I was always told do not left foot brake.
