Question for 2-door owners:

I’m a huge flyfisherman and I’ve got a 2-door on the way. Will I be able to fit a 9-foot fly rod inside ? (Obviously diagonally)

Reason I ask is I recently added a one-piece rod to my quiver of rods. It fits fine in my tiny Chevy Cruze, diagonally with the butt in the bottom left of the trunk angling up to the front passenger seat area.

Boy, that'll be tight. The rear with seats folded is about 43" square, so where will the rest of the rod go?

Roof rack with a rod holder maybe?

Man, I'm thinking no. I'm no fly fisherman, can you transport them bent? Maybe stick it out the window?

I wanted to start this thread because I'm tired of 4 doors getting all the love. I still love you Team 4 door but I love the 2 doors just a little bit more. I don't have mine yet so obviously I can't post any pictures. If you have a 2 door or any cool pictures of this infamous unicorn then I guess put it in here. Something about a 2 door bronco just hits for me.
Edited: took delivery about a week and a half ago(11/19/21). Finally I get to show it off in this thread. The hype is real…

Yep, it will fit. I just took a tape measure out and measured. Diagonal from pass front floor to driver rear above the rear seat. (y)

I've had mine about two weeks. Took it out in the dirt the 3rd day. :)

Hmm….. does not match the other guy, but using a different route. I had not thought about the deep footwell. We talking 9 feet, correct ?

Also, thanks for taking the time to go measure. Addressed to both of you.

I have an 8 foot rod and it just barely fits and the end of the rod is on my dash diagonally.

Yes, with the rear seats up. So, measuring from the pass footwell, across the center console, to the top of the driver side rear seat, 9' is next to the rear speaker.
