I'm not entirely sure why you chose to compare entirely different products instead of the same product from the same company, but theres definitely a Bronco tax on many products from various manufacturers.

Example being Outback Adventure Products' Trailgater which carries a $70 premium if you happen to own a Bronco, and this is just the first thing that came to mind with no effort spent looking.

Goose Gear's offering is more expensive at $529, but is priced the same for the Bronco and the JL. Bronco tax is VERY real, but fortunately there are companies out there who don't charge it.

The whole concept of calling a higher price for a product for a Bronco vs. something else a "tax" is flawed.

Tax - a compulsory contribution to state revenue, levied by the government on workers' income and business profits, or added to the cost of some goods, services, and transactions.

Don't confuse a high price on something you choose to buy with something the government takes from you by force.

Now if you're one of the more than half of the country that didn't have to pay any Federal income tax for 2021 I understand why you're confused.
