I'm just saying, I don't see this graph as very accurate. Shift the sport way to left.... Unless the actual bronco is a wuss compared to what we've been led to believe.

I agree about the brand confusion, my Dad has owned Fords his whole life but hes not going to pay attention to these details, If he sees a Bronco sport, hes going to think that's what I want. Im going to waste more time than I want explaining to him there is a "Bronco Bronco" and a Bronco sport.

I'm not convinced either - I was mainly pointing out what could be the marketing strategy and possible benefits. But as you mentioned, there are pitfalls with this naming approach. I don't know how it will work out. I'd rather Ford had used two different names.

The Mustang "brand" throws me. I don't get that one. At least both of these Broncos are SUVs. But to have cars and SUVs under a "Mustang" brand seems odd to me. My first car was a beat up $900 1965 Mustang. It's a stretch for me to think of a Mustang SUV.

I agree, there's definitely a marketing strategy and some psychological play here.

I don't like the Mustang "brand" either. Maybe, though, they're planning on doing the same thing for the Bronco. Bronco, Bronco full-size SUV, small SUV, truck, etc.???

If you look at the confusion on Jalopnik and other sites, it is very clear that this should have been named the Maverick or, really, anything but "Bronco <adjective>". Then again, we weren't supposed to see this yet so, per Ford's current alleged timetable, we would have seen the Bronco Bronco first. But I don't think even that would have cleared up confusion.

Haven't you figured out that most people on the internet are fucking stupid or are trolls or maybe both?

I'm still not sure if this was an official leak or not. Ford has more or less controlled the narrative with the "full sized" Bronco when its come to releasing information. Given the time table that they've put out, I'm slightly shocked that the full sized Bronco photos haven't leaked out like this. The Bronco has Area 51 type security on it.

That makes me feel better. I know that the color list was probably BS, but I was really hoping for a lighter blue. Good to know Area 51 is a blue. If I can't get a grabber blue..ish color, this would be my second choice.
