For those posting their dealers saying they won’t pass the price increase to the customer ask yourself this. The dealership has to now buy your bronco at a higher price from ford. If you don’t qualify for the price protection, you’re trying to tell me the dealer is going to eat that cost for you? Not a chance in hell, and I don’t care what these dealers are texting you. Your MSRP is going up, so whatever deal you agreed to (MSRP + ADM or MSRP minus xxx or just MSRP) that’s what you’re going to get. Grangers $1k under invoice deal just got more expensive too. These salesman are idiots, but the brains behind the dealership are going to shut that shit down really quick when the bronco actually comes in and they run the numbers.
Sorry, but that’s not true. If you have an existing order with Granger, it’s priced the same as it was. This has been verified by Zach at Granger.

Guess we'll see when that time comes.
Invoice on the bronco is only like $800 less than MSRP if I’m not mistaken. That means on front end only your dealer is only making $800 if you agreed to MSRP. With these $2k price increases, you’re trying to tell me they are now going to take a $1200 loss from invoice on the front end? Nope. You can’t even factor in backend anymore with so few vehicles. Make zero financial sense. I’m sure there will be the one off cases, but in general this cost being passed to ford will be passed to the non-price protected customer, period

I’m referring to the non ford price protected customer. If you placed an order after the ford stated deadlines granger is passing the price increase to you

It's price protected through Ford. And you already have yours, so are you just hoping that everyone has to pay more than you?

Nope, it’s already been verified.

"Your order summary once placed locks in pricing from the order date so you won't see a price bump if your dealer knows what to do correctly."

My reservation has still not arrived. I’m being realistic. My reservation is from April 2021 and trying to figure out if this increase impacts me. I’m past the march reservation cutoff but before the august MIC cutoff. I was a MIC order until November. So not sure if the price protection applies to me.

So if ford increases MSRP by $5k for MY23 your dealer is going to eat that? Because ford has very specific scenarios where they reimburse the customer. Outside of that the dealer would be taking the loss

If you mean somebody that orders today, your are absolutely correct. If you have an existing order prior to the price increase, you are automatically protected provided your dealer doesn’t try and screw you.

Ok, my mistake. I seen you talking about the heated steering wheel and assumed you had yours. The Mic cutoff should protect you but I'm a nobody to answer this.

The dealer won’t have to eat the cost if they have placed the order with Ford prior to the price increase. You are correct if you order in ‘23, you will pay the ‘23 price. This has been the case for decades. If there is a mid year price increase and you ordered prior to the increase, the dealer and you pay the pre increase price.

I do have mine, but one I purchased on trade and not my reservation. So yes a price increase is positive for me, but only if my reservation is price protected. Also, I looked through @Zach@Granger feb post history and didn’t see a single post about how granger will handle non ford price protected orders. Maybe something was sent in PM? But that’s a sign to me knowing how open he is

Perhaps you are referring to reservations, in that case there were specific price protections but recently Ford has stated that certain changes to your reservation will lead to an increase reflected in the mid year price changes.

We’re in agreement, but unless I’m reading this wrong, you’re only price protected under two scenarios. Any march 2021 order OR a Aug 21 order if you spec’d a MIC. I suspect there are tens of thousands of post august 2021 orders who have agreed to MSRP pricing (including granger) that will have to pay these price increases because I don’t see the dealer eating $2k. If this is the case, it’s a win for all of us price protected people because we just got $2k in additional equity

It’s really two separate situations. My understanding is If you have an official order in the Ford system, that is the price you pay. If you have not converted your reservation that was under the price protection policy, it will be honored until the end of ‘23 unless you make certain changes. Ford seemed pretty clear on that in their e-mail last week. That difference is done by a third party and paid directly to the buyer, not the dealer.

My dealer is honoring my price even though I don’t have a reservation. Who knows when the thing will show up though.
