But isn't the First Edition simply a fully optioned BL with Navy Pier?
Not really. It has leather interior, no option for MGV. It doesn't have the wash out interior either. But it come (came) standard with the modular hard top like the WT. Plus it has it's own First Edition graphic package. It's definitely a mash up of BL and WT though.

Sorry but WT is the biggest non model ever. It literally has no purpose except to grab people that think they are getting the best model. It does NOTHING special. All it is is a less than desirable interior and black painted parts. Should have been a blackout package for the OBX and been done with it.
True. Wildtrack is basically an Outer Banks Sasquatch with very minor appearance changes. :) It could be the first model to die.

Badlands plus leather option plus modular hardtop (also an option) + very minor appearance change a la vinyl decals. I'd say his assessment of FE as a loaded Badlands is pretty accurate.

Another way of looking at it is that you can load up a Badlands to be almost exactly like a First Edition.

No worries. This is a sorta "Man behind the curtain" type post.
Dude, you should’ve stuck with visuals. That’s your wheelhouse! ;)

There are only 2 'models': Bronco, and Bronco Sport. Everything else are just combinations of options that are grouped together. Whatever 'trim' you get on your chosen model, It's still the same car with different stuff added.

Getting locked out of certain options is nothing new. It sucks, but Ford didn't just come up with this in the Bronco.

Not sure this all makes sense; I m sure the model range, package combos is carefully crafted so no-one walks
I think some people think Ford has their best interests at heart but they’re a corporation out for money. In a perfect world all these models would exist with varying suspension components, seats, floors, bumpers etc but any package could be added.

Ford sells you on the packages and hopes you’ll spend more because you want it.
Perfect world customization would make them a lot more expensive.

Yes. If you’re in a BD, ask yourself why Ford won’t give you the 12” screen?

They want you to upgrade...if you want that package jussssttttttt enough you might be willing to pay 6K+ for it and jump up a model.
Well isn’t that the norm with just about any vehicle you order?
I guess I don’t get any of them being non models??
Wouldn’t it be freaking awesome if you could jus order exactly what ya want?
I built out every model and stopped any the BD because I got what I want and decided the extra couple items like the 12in screen and cameras I really didn’t need. I do wish they could figure out how to add electric seats with marine grade vinyl....

Well a BL with Leather removes the washout floor and adds carpet. Additionally provides the power seats and has the option for the painted mod top. Thus essentially equaling a First Edition.

I am happy with my BB and mid package, glad that option exists; cloth options are a bit boring but I will get over it and don't want cheap leather. I did the comparison with more expensive models and would have spent thousands more to get extras I don't care for. Anything else I want I will get as accessories or in the aftermarket.
