So the engineer stopped in, my sales guy said he looked it all over, and said it was good to go. I stopped by and took a look. My wife and kids met me there and they all ohh'd at it. Ran to get lunch and let them finish PDI then we will go pick it up. I will find out specifically what the engineer was looking at though.

It’s a launch inspection that they are doing. They are reporting any fit and finish issues back to the plant after it’s been on a truck. Encourage that. It’s the best way to make things better.

Yeah, that was my thought. OP's Bronco is the rail-transit guinea pig.

No reason to build a Bronco in Michigan, then ship it to IL and send an engineer from MI to go look at it unless they were looking at something in the delivery process.

Did you make sure to tell them not install the front license plate bracket before you left?

Just got a call from my Ford dealer that my Bronco is being delivered today! Blend was 6/22, built 6/23, and should be able to pick it up today! They are saying they are being required to have a Ford service engineer inspect it first though.

And Just got another call that the truck made it to the Ford dealer!!

Do I wait for this Ford engineer to do his inspection, or do I leave work now?

You do you, but if this was me I would be knocking people over to get to my dealer.

Yep, they actually asked me if it was OK not to install it before I could ask.
