@Evenflo1, Edson, too add to Zack's always helpful post I have another thought. In my conspiracy riddled mind (when it comes to shady dealers) they may be hoping you'll refuse delivery, giving them a change to sell it with an added dealer fee. So, if you can't get it straightened out per Zack's instructions, you could take possession of this one. Then you could order another Bronco (from a different dealer of course) to you specs, drive this one for awhile, and trade it for the new one when it arrives. I really don't think the big Bronco's are going to depreciate in price very much for a few years.
This option OR you could take possession of it and then sell it yourself for over MSRP or even MSRP. Anything to keep the dealer from making a boatload of extra cash. Because they won't lose out on that $15k that's the markup they will put on it.

You can always advertise it before it arrives. Sell it before it gets there.
Absolutely. Anything to keep that asshat dealer from getting their hands on it.

I ordered it what I want to say January when dealers started taking orders. I've been fighting with them since I even had wrong color and not until now have they changed that. The dealer rep states ford themselves refuses to change anything and now in worried because I have a vin assigned and a build date of July 19.
Your Dealer should have sent you a Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement (DORA). The DORA shows the details of your build that Ford received from the Dealer. If you haven't received a VIN # you can change your order, and your Dealer has to revise your order accordingly. If your Dealer refuses or give you excuses why they can't. Call Ford Customer Service and file a compliant.

I would absolutely take delivery of that Bronco. This sounds like an intentional screw job to me. No way I'd give these a-holes the satisfaction of their scheme working.

Take delivery. Order the Bronco you want with a reputable dealer(many on this forum) and sell first one when new rig comes in or right away. That's what I would do in your shoes.

Good luck!

My build is incorrect too. My dealer is telling me that he is locked out and cannot make any changes to my order. He states it is the same with all SAS builds. I do not have a VIN number assigned.

Is this just BS?

So I called the marketing department and they pretty much confirmed what was stated above. The dealer could at any time changed my specs to what I wanted and dealer just refused. So above is what was ordered amd the cactus grey is what I should have got. The silver one is a basic run of the mill badlands on 33s with mid level infotainment interior and none of my build characteristics. Now ford says they can't make any changes and I will have to get a model year 2022

Nope when I spoke to the rep from the number above you can still make changes. I recommend you call asap. The rep even said yea the dealer was just manipulating my order

The could be locked out if your order actually does have a VIN assigned...

...otherwise they should be able to modify the order, just like literally every other Ford vehicle you can order and modify before the VIN is assigned.

*the only caveat is that nothing is like the Bronco rollout so far, so there is a remote change they are telling the truth and modifications are locked for some reason... but... usually we hear about things like that here pretty quick.

Unfortunately you're going to have to advocate hard for yourself to get your dealer to do what you want...

The other thing I will add: depending on what you are trying to change, it may require basically unbuilding it in the system and reconfiguring it from scratch. Early on there were a ton of stories about dealers insisting they couldn't order a certain combo (because the system was giving an error), but they were just doing it wrong and eventually figured it out.

@Evenflo1 That's not a DORA. You should have received one of these after you submitted your build to your dealership. You would have then confirmed, signed and returned to your dealership for them to enter your build in WBDO.

I believe I did I'm going to check out when I get home. I think I'm going to take legal action against this dealer due to the fact the first model year especially for something like this will be a collector for sure and ford said I'll have to reorder and get a model year 2022

Its your money but legal action is just going to make lawyers rich. By the time anything got settled the MY23 order banks would be open.

I do not think your dealership was out to screw you over, I think they are just idiots. If they had intended on keeping your Bronco for themselves to sell they would have ordered a optioned out higher end model. To them, the only thing better than selling a canceled reservation for a premium is selling a canceled reservation for an even higher premium, which what a optioned out model would bring.

So, either keep what you have coming and drive it, flip it or trade it. Or, try making a deal with the dealership for a previously canceled reservation that has an early timestamp. Tell them they can have the one that has a VIN in exchange for your correct build using the cancelled res and your word that you won't take your complains to Ford and drag them through the mud on public forums.

threaten to change dealers, if they don't play ball call customer care and switch to a dealer that can.
