Received a dealer email yesterday stating they expect to receive the Bronco on Sept. 8. Seems like a long time from the plant to Houston, but what do I know. As soon as the date gets more firm, I'll book a flight to fly in and pick it up. Did discover I have 14 days to get CA Smog done from purchase in order for registration to go through. Drive it home and onto the smog inspection platform.

Some initial thoughts after picking it up yesterday evening…

It’s better than I imagined. I got the navy leather, which I wasn’t sure about in regards to the color but liked it better than the brown option. I love it in person. They’re the most comfortable seats I’ve ever had, and I just traded out of a 2020 limited explorer with comfy leather. I got the Mabett floor mats(front, rear, cargo, and back of rear seat). The material is much thinner than if you’re used to WeatherTech, and it’s lumpy and sloppy in some areas. I ordered WeatherTechs today(front, rear, and cargo), and the newer version of Mabett’s back of the rear seat cover that had better reviews. I like the idea of it for dog hair and hauling materials and debris from my house projects, but the original ones I received weren’t very precisely cut. I’ll be returning the original Mabetts. Storage feels limited coming from a standard SUV, so I’m glad that there are so many aftermarket options available to gain additional storage. Some modifications I’ve done so far (mostly cosmetic) include adding grab handles, blue dial covers to match the grab handles, screen protector(the 12 inch screen is awesome!), little blind spot mirrors to the bottom left corner of my side view mirrors, a rear floor cup holder, hard plastic cup holder/storage to the front doors, and center console cover so it doesn’t get scratched. I’m waiting on emblem lights for the grille, d ring shackles, sill protectors, and seat belt stabilizers to arrive. It’s really fun(and expensive) customizing it. My dealership gave me a spare tire cover free that says 1966 Bronco that someone ordered and didn’t take, but I also have a custom one that I am waiting to have shipped. I’m excited for everyone else to get their Broncos and share your modifications!

Same thing happened to me, but I expected it. I’ve seen other people say the same and knew my order wasn’t a carryover from a previous year.

Sometimes the tracker is spot on, other times it’s way off. I’ve read stories where people had their Bronco showing as still in production when it arrived on the dealer lot.
My tracker was pretty accurate the whole time.

In my case my tracker has been pretty accurate… except now it’s of no use with a broken rail car stuck in Buffalo,NY now for the second day with still no ETA to get it back on it’s way. So close yet so far away 😣
Mine sat in Buffalo for 2 days before finishing the trek to East Brookfield.

You’re going to love them. The leather is so comfortable and buttery. If it makes you feel any better once my rail car arrived in East Brookfield, it was at my dealership within two days. Then 2 days later I was driving it home. If you have an EZ pass or something similar, don’t forget it in your trade! I checked my car over several times and thought I had everything. I didn’t realize until I was 15 minutes from the dealership approaching a toll that my EZ pass was still on the windshield. I turned around to go get it.
