Hey @North7 I hate to say it, but you just compared engineering a plane or a bridge to building a web site (B&P). I'd say they are on opposite ends of the spectrum. I don't believe what they are trying to do falls under the "Rocket Science" category.

But don't mind me, I'm just having a bad day today!!

In general good software is actually pretty hard to make, and Ford is very far from an actual software company. Even given that Ford probably employs/contracts pedestrian development talent, the smart money is that actual development/design is about the least likely culprit for this delay. This screams marketing and upper management decision making delays to me.

I guess I'll ask this here or direct me to a better thread, idk. The color & material walkthrough being released this week, is that just going to B Nation premium forums? or is it going there first and then everywhere? or is it going everywhere right away?

I'm a developer, and I can't imagine having to validate each and every one of the 200+ options show up correctly on the final build picture. They had a hard enough time and made quite a few mistakes on the very little we have right now. Wish they could have released in stages. Give us just the base stuff and all the addons later.
Not to mention if the powers that be add on another model to the works!!!

My buddy at my local Ford dealership told me yesterday he was told "a couple of months" last week on the B&P. Don't know what to believe as to when it will show up. . . . .BUT I believe strongly it won't be in September.

I think Ford initially said September now they're saying fall, I don't know what to believe anymore
