Ford hired a marketing firm to assist with (at least) this particular event. These marketing folks are exactly as you described, the type that are available at car shows and will typically direct you to the one or two actual employees from the manufacturer for any difficult questions. Those Ford employees were not onsite today, but will be for the remainder of the event.
The marketing firm was very nice and did the best they could, but the main guy I was working with today admitted that he was very nervous going into this for all of the difficult questions that he knew he wasn't going to have the answers to. He said they got a very quick run-down on the 2 vehicles provided and that was basically it.

I feel like half the time I look at BN, someone will ask a question and the reply will be along the lines of "go check out 6G"... so I seriously doubt they know more than we do

Well the good news is that IF the build and price is hitting this month, we have put a third of the month behind us! The glass is only two thirds full now!

Not quite sure I understand this reference. Because when I play the lottery, I know exactly how much I'm paying for my ticket. The only options afforded me are (whatever that extra cash thing is for less than jackpot). But I still know how much I'm paying.

Anyways, I guess Ford's idea of SOON has been way different than most of what we think. For the person above who says I'm good with B&P in May, well you go ahead and order in December then ALLOW Ford to show you the price in May, let me know how that works out for you.

As for me, the B&P helps me to decide WHICH model I want, with WHAT options to be within the budget I have in mind. Does it need to be more than 3 days before I order? Probably not. But I'm impatient. And it seems like a task that COULD'VE been completed by now. Seriously, stop giving us PRE-PRE-PRE-PRODUCTION models at events spaced out by weeks, get your shit together and give us something solid for once!

You know, I'm kinda curious here. All this talk about B&P, and rockstar team of programmers. Yet I see so many people saying they can't log into their Ford Accounts (just hoping that means B&P is imminent). But it never comes. So today I go to log into my account to see what my reservation # is (because I just went through another post with some video that seems to give a hint on reservations). And after I log in, I'm stuck in a continuous loop. Can't see my account, can't do a damn thing.

So I ask, Is ALL of this really that difficult? Someone needs to tell Ford it's not 1956 anymore. We have technology, and people who can use it. So get on it already!
