October 23, 1963. Here is what I found on Ford’s website..


These findings, indicating a gap in the market, went to the Product Planning Committee on October, 23, 1963 with the recommendation for “funds for further development of a Ford utility vehicle, code named Bronco.” A fascinating memo a week later had the subject line “1966 G.O.A.T” as it heading. The G.O.A.T. terminology was indicative of the desire to develop a Goes Over All Terrain vehicle while the document itself describes the drivability of the car.

I'm guessing the "week later" than 10-23 to commemorate the actual memo date...not the birth of the findings. Memos are official. Findings are subject matter to then PFMEA to death prior to an official memo.....

Received an email from my Ford dealership saying to contact them. I did, and then asked if they had any updates on the B&P date. Here's a snapshot of his response...not good. Hope they're wrong!

They are probably thinking of when they will have access to build one in WBDO to submit to the order bank... I wouldn't worry too much... Also if you have questions, feel free to float them my way... I'm not a dumbass, although I am a salesman. If I can figure it out, without violating any policies, I'll do my best. Also I'm not afraid to admit I don't know shit vs just making up an answer.

Seriously though, I’m looking at a scat pack challenger or mustang GT. I’m going to check out the challenger tomorrow and the mustang by the weekend.

If your thinking mustang. Take a very close look at the paint.My 2019 mustang gt had spots underneath the paint the dealership tried to help by painting the hood but it turned out like crap. I looked at other mustang on there lot and some of them had the same problems in the same locations. Just fiy.
