Does this grill work with the front camera?

Looking at the pictures on Amazon it doesn’t look like it has an opening for the camera. I am going to look at my grill today and see what modifications would need to be done to make it work.

This is what I want too. I was going to paint my existing BL grill but the auto paint shops I have talked too have said that in their experience using flat paint has two drawbacks that down the road customers complain about. 1) Flat paint fades more more quickly than gloss. So your beautiful flat black grill will look faded fairly quickly. 2) flat or satin clear coat chips more easily than gloss. Not a big difference but something to be aware of.
Because of this I am looking at gloss black. I may have to be the guinea pig and try this grill out.

I took my grill off and took a look at the camera assembly. The assembly looks like it can be removed and attached to another grill that does not have one.
I do think you would need to cut the plastic between the ‘O’ and the ‘N’ and slide the camera into this position. If the grill is not made to accept the camera you would probably have to drill out hole for the anchoring screws or you could do 3M double sided tape to attach the camera. You will also have to deal with running the optical cord and water supply to the camera.
it sounds like a lot but I think it is easily doable if this grill is not already equipped for the front facing camera.
also, it only takes about 15 minutes to remove the grill. You could just swap out the grills when you go off roading. Not the best solution but again doable.
