I've been driving 4x4 trucks for a long time, these days they drive almost like cars. My 4 door BD has a ton of body roll and feels quite unstable. Especially at higher speeds. I assume this is normal for a more offroad focused vehicle?? I'm still loving my new Bronco; I'm just used to driving tighter cars like my Camaro and a newer Ram.

Totally not normal. I also have a BD and love how firm it is around turns, NO role or only little.
Have dealer inspect all body to frame bolts and all suspension !
Agreed. Totally not normal. The Broncos aren't Jeeps after all.

Thanks. Interesting. I guess I'll take it back.

It may be normal as you are describing your perception as compared to much tighter vehicles. Yes, it should, and does have more body roll, and the amount will vary based on how fast and tight your curves are.

The base Hitachies are nothing special. Upgrading to takeoff Bilsteins will tighten that up some.

can confirm this. if youre coming from a suv or tight truck it can feel a little off camber on fast turns. bils are much smoother, and a decent cheap upgrade.

Tires were over inflated at 47, if recommended is 39? Even at regular speeds if you turn the wheel back and forth it feels like a boat. My brother drove it today and asked my if something was wrong with it. He just got out of his e46 m3. My 2020 ram drives 10 times better. Ill try the new pressure tomorrow. My initial thought is lower pressure might make it worse.

I found the sweet spot at 36 cold with the stock setup.

I run ~34psi, removed my sway bar and the bronco still handles tighter than most trucks.

Know what suspension you have? Sas, non-sas, badlands?

Higher tire pressure decreases your contact patch, which also decreases stability. Shouldn’t be a huge difference though

Especially in SPORT mode in the tight curvy roads in West Virginia Mountains. BD is an amazing truck on and off roads.

I had a chance to drive with 38lb tire pressure and it defiantly improved a little. I may play with the pressure some more. What else should I look for? I don't want my expectations to be too high. I still might take it in for an inspection. The problem is I'm never too impressed with the service guys.

I was driving my BD on some twisty back roads the other day and didn't notice any excessive body roll or in instability. Yeah it doesn't handle like a lower to the ground sports car. But 100% better than my Gladiator did.

check your tire pressure

It should be 39 psi -- or at least my four door BD has that on the door jamb label. Bronco's are shipped with tires over inflated for some reason. Mine were at 44 psi when I picked it up.
