Black Diamond Bronco Thread

Put down for a Black Diamond 4 door and planning on getting the sasquatch package + hardtop + 2.7 + Antimatter Blue if it doesn't get too much over $50k.. I've got a 2017 Mustang GT Premium Performance Package that's going to be sacrificed to the Bronco gods to make this happen.

I would go for the Big Bend, except all the armor and interior stuff that comes on the Black Diamond is worth the ~$2700 to me.

Well I no longer feel alone!! My GT is my sacrificial lamb. Sadly I wanted 1 for my entire life and finally got 1 a year ago and now I have to have the Bronco!!

I'm not going base because I really want the rubberized flooring and vinyl. Also, I actually really like the wheels on the BD.

I don’t see how you got to that math...assuming you have both tops as well on the Wildtrak and would be adding the additional two inch lift to both. Otherwise the Black Diamond is cheaper...and has the preferred (wash out) flooring.

I mean no one here has prices atm so you got me there and I agree with the wash out flooring but for the upgraded lights, painted top, mid trim level Seems like it would be a no brainer. I myself am still undecided until I see pricing if I will be going with widtrak or black diamond.

Yea the manual is what annoys me. Rubber floor I could get around with pulling the carpet and doing bed liner. Seat covers solves the vinyl issue.

I would love your feedback regarding my potential 4dr Badlands Sasquatch configuration. My desires are:

Keep price down
Bad ass big tire look (high ground clearance good!)
Good highway vehicle. Yes, Bronco are not built for highways, but some will be better than others

What I don't care about are large screens, other electronics and technology, heated seats and steering wheel, auto dimming mirrors, high beam assist, any other types of assistance, leather doo dads, remote start, floor lighting, etc, etc and on and on

With that said, am I better off getting a black diamond - sasquatch four door?

If you are including it in financing don’t forget to add the APR to whatever price you pay for the accessories. Get a 6 year loan those accessories could have bought you a new car??

Perhaps, but..if you have that much $$ to spend on aftermarket parts, why not put it on your down and have a lower monthly? Either way route you choose, the money for "extra" parts Ford/aftermarket WILL be a whole new car just a matter of...do you want to be paying for it monthly or forking it up out of pocket on your credit card with a higher interest rate

I loved the orange too. But, the more I thought on it I now want the area 51. I feel as tho when I go off roading I'd rather blend then stick out. I also thought about scratches and dirt. I think the orange may show that a lot more than a neutral color.

Exactly. I don't want black or white. I think the area is a perfect mid color. I've got metallic gray now and it doesn't show all the imperfections like my last white 1 did

colors like silver or white will be the best for hiding paint scars. I don’t think the orange will be too bad either..

I, like many before me have been stuck with the same dilemma: Base 4-door completely tricked out as much as options allow or Black Diamond 2-door for around same price and with more standard goodies. I believe today.....I have finalized my choice....maybe! I will be going with the Black Diamond 2-door for a couple of reasons:

1. Mid Package is offered on the Black Diamond for only $1500. (Not offered on the Base)
2. I get my washable vinyl seats. (This is great when you have young children who spill things constantly)
3. I get rubberized flooring standard. (Is great for the same reason as No. 2)
4. Rock rails and HD front bumper is standard. (This just makes sense in an off-roader and should be standard on all trims)
5. I get my school bus orange color! (Nobody can deny that's exactly what it looks like, yet I still love it on the Bronco)

This is my current supposed configuration based on invoice price with Granger discount and X-Plan:

2-Door Cyber Orange Black Diamond = $34,789
Paint= $595 up-charge
2.7L V6 with 10 Speed Automatic = $3,500
Sasquatch Package = $4,500
Mid Package = $1,500
Dealer Fee = $100
Destination and Delivery Fee = $1,495
Total before Discounts = $46,479

Discounts:
Trade-In = $11,500 (Based on KBB)
Down-Payment = $7,000
X-Plan = $300
Granger Deal = $1000
Total after Discounts = $26,679 (Very Doable)

My Base 4-Door was coming out to $23,497. For $3k extra I'm getting a whole lot more truck for the money.

Yeah, IF they did manual and squatch I'd do base. As it stands now they won't so I'm at BD. I think in the long run, getting the BD and putting Fox 2.5s on would be better for me, although I do want that M210. Not getting an auto though, so most likely will be the BD for me in the end.

Yep. I've been doing this with BD and BL, due to wanting the washout interiors. My build looks a bit different, but along the same lines. I'm weighting the 2.3L vs 2.7L option. I really, really like the look of the steelies with the BD vs the BL wheels.

I like the price tag of the BD much better for my budget, with the off-road capabilities that fit my potential usage. I think the BL will have options I simply wouldn't use (sway bar disco and front locker). Yeah the suspension would be nice and the 33's, but I think I could do those down the road aftermarket when the Bronco is paid off.

Me too. Sounds like an after-delivery purchase so the question du jour for me is what do I do with five General Grabber 32s after I buy the BFG KO2s? Dont need a stack of off-size tires in the garage.

Facebook marketplace. If you change them out right away, FTO’s with hardly any miles, a set of 5 would probably get you 4 out of your 5 replacement tires depending on cost of your new ones.

set of 5 32” tires near new I don’t think you’d have a problem getting $700-800 out of. Don’t trade to dealer. They’ll give you shit for them then turn around and do the same thing.

I'm confused:
"2-Door Cyber Orange Black Diamond = $34,789": is it starts at $36,050?
Also, how did you do the math about the diff between base and BD? In my math it will around $7K difference. I hope I'm wrong I like your numbers
