Got to test drive my dealers demo today. Probably won’t see my 7/14 res BD/SAS/2.7/Tow for a while since I don’t have my VIN yet. Dealer demo was a BB/SAS/2.3 with fabric/mid/automatic and I was pretty impressed. The trans is awesome and the 2.3 was a pleasant surprise coming from the worn out 5.8 in my XLT. Here’s some exterior pics (pardon the sun) up next to my 96 XLT with 4” lift and 35x12.50s. They were almost identical in length, but the new one is much narrower which I’m sure has been covered in depth. The ground clearance was the same with a slight advantage to my XLT only because the front diff is the lowest point and there is more clearance under the axle than the big bend squatch. I’ll answer any questions y’all have, enjoy the pics! My trucks in bad need of a wash but it was off-road yesterday so eh.

Additionally my trans in my XLT started slipping badly on the way home so I think it’s worried I’m going to trade it in for the younger, hotter version. I’m not, so they’re going to have to learn to get along!

I love this comparison, as I drive a 96 XLT. Mine is stock height with 31s. The new bronco desperately needs real 35s. And maybe its the color but the flares look really weird next to the 96s body lines. I do like the height of it though.

Also I had my trans leaking alot whenever I went up the mountain. Ended up putting on a bigger trans cooler, a 2 core 18000 GVW model and it stays cool and stopped leaking. Dont know if that would help your slipping but It couldnt hurt. I got 205,000 miles on the original drivetrain, wouldnt mind making it to 300.

I’m at 253 now and I believe the trans was rebuilt at some point before I got it based on some paperwork I found. I’m just going to put in a new monster trans and freshen up to motor for another (hopeful) 250k.

also I don’t think there’s a better reaction gif than the home improvement flex above!
