Hey Bestop,

Your customer service is so terrible, that I'm going to rely on someone else to chime in here.

I purchased a Trektop/ BD from Bestop and there are gaps under the flap , at the rear window. Any sort of pressure wash, and water leaks in.

Anyone have an potential band aids of fix for this? I know bestop won't respond, because their an absolutely cheap and terrible company.

Also, what sort of awful design are the sliding side panels/windows? Do you guys know how hard it is to slide those in, without the same guides as the rear panel?

Thanks!

You have pics? How long have u had it installed? Mine has been perfect for three years - no leaks whatsoever. Side panels are easy peasy to slide on and off

I have the exact same top, never had a problem with leaking at all. The side windows do take a little getting used to, but after a few times they go in and our relatively easy.

I will say this.. the rear quarter metal brackets at the top (top of roll bar)may need to be bent slightly inward to allow the side panels to slide in easier. This I learned a few months into it. I just used a channel lock plier and bent the right rear bracket a milliliter or so inward. No problem on the drivers side. I grease the rubber slide with a little garage door track grease once in a while. I believe the top is VERY SENSITIVE to proper installation. It’s a very tight fit and if you do it right you should have zero problems.

A little masking tape pointer - u might need to bend this top bracket in a little bit that way the side panels align better with groove

Here are my photos. You can see where the gaps are. Total nonsense.

Any sort of upward angle of a sprayer, and I've got water in my Bronco.

I also had no issues with water entering on my 2018 JLU top, aside from from a faulty rear door bar seal (which bestop did eventually replace).

Yeah, I'll have to do that. Not sure why bestop didn't put those little gliders in, but they are a terrible company, so it's not surprising.

Not sure what you’re doing wrong. Mine looks the same. When the roof flap is down no way water is getting inside unless I purposefully spray water into the gap. :(

I typically have to wash at a DIY car wash, as LA doesn't have a lot of touchless.

Also, your gap appears to be smaller than mine, which isn't helping when I wash it.

What can I say, it happens. Still really bad design.
