I have gone (twice) with whatever the dealer uses, although their stickers are supplied by Valvoline. Otherwise I am sure whatever it is meets Ford spec.

If ypu want one of the best synthetics or blends, seek out Schaeffer as they produce the base synthetic stock for nearly all other oil companies

I used it back when I was selling tractors

That’s what I run in all my stuff including tractors. Family has been running Schaeffers for decades and we swear by it.

I use Motorcraft oil and filters. I think most all oils, if rated correctly, will do the job. Change your oil and filter on schedule and that's 90% of the battle.

I used to run mobil 1 in everything, but now that the dealership changes my oil in all of my vehicles besides my 03 Mach 1, I use motorcraft. Ive always ran motorcraft filters in everything. Dont have a Bronco yet, but we have a Bronco Sport, F150, Focus, and the Mustang currently. 2013 Focus is my work car. It has 132k on it and runs like new. When the Bronco replaces the F150, It will be on motorcraft as well. We change oil at 5k intervals on everything besides the Mustang which is once a year, usually with 500 miles on it lol

Castrol was the best at one time... What happened to that?

It does not meet the Ford spec WSS-M2C961-A1 which is essentially API SP. I think they have too much calcium. I have 12qts I plan to use at some point but it technically does not meet the manufacturer's standard in the manual.

OP, pick just about anything on the shelf and change it regularly. There technically is no "best" oil, just a lot of opinions.

Castrol Magnatec used to produce some good used oil analysis results on ecoboost engines but has been discontinued. If you want my recommendation, Quaker State Full Synthetic is one of the cheapest ($21.xx for 5qt jug) at Wal Mart and has a healthy additive package. Here is a virgin oil analysis:

Amsoil exceeds SP/SN plus...it has for years:

The reason Amsoil does not have the "donut" is:

And using it does not affect warranty.
