I'm in the market for a new hardtop. Have to get rid of the soft top after going on almost 4 years with the vehicle. The sound level is way too high, and I'm about done with it. It's either trade in the Bronco for a full size truck or keep it and just replace the hardtop. Thoughts on your favorite options these are a few I did my research on but was curious from others who have had experiences moving from a soft top to hard top. Hopefully the sound reduction is significant because these are not cheap.

Ford Bronco Hardtop for 4 Door Broncos 2 Piece Top (2021-Present) - Rally Top

Quick Edit and my take on the top after having it installed for awhile.

Thought it would be beneficial to post a quick take on the @Turn Offroad Top since I have had it now for a while.

First things first the customer service at Turn Off Road is exceptional. Seriously I can't give them high enough marks for the amount of time they took to help me out since they did have to send me some items which was sent extremely quickly. I will say overall I love the design and how it now looks on my Bronco. Here are my quick takes.

1. Great overall design. I want to get the molle panels for the sides eventually.
2. Quiter than the soft top.
3. Is noticeably heavier than the soft top and even what I remember on my Jeep. Takes two to put it on.
4. Had issues with alignment because of water leak. I spoke to turn off road team and they mentioned it was either the windshield in the back needed adjustment or the bracket at the front and how Ford installed it. Ended up being the bracket so I fixed the alignment and no longer have water leaks in the back window.
5. I will say there is a few noticeable QC issues. Their team did send me replacement parts but honestly something that is 5100 bucks should have better inspection prior to delivery. Such as the adhesive for the wiring on the back windshield peeled off when received. The other is the plastic piece that covers the motor keeps falling off when driving. They did send me a replacement as well, but I haven't had a chance to install it since I have to take off the motor.
6. I haven't spoken to them yet about this one, but I did notice one of the seals on the side back window is also peeling off.

Overall, would I purchase again? I think the answer is yes, but I would have liked better QC before purchasing. Really, I shouldn't have to replace multiple parts on such an expensive purchase. Great design and quieter which is what I wanted. Also, can finally use a roof rack for my rtt or equipment.

Should also check out Armadillo https://armadillo.design/

I’m a year out from either buying a new bronco (to gain front locker, 4.70 gears, v6, and factory hardtop) or building mine - if I build mine it’s between the turn hardtop or the Armadillo top.

I looked at it but excluded it because its way too expensive.

C'mon, you can do this! Earplugs, esp. when it's wet out and on the big road....otherwise, nothing beats dropping the top when weather turns.

The Armadillo is non-removable, so it's more like not having a top, just a permanent roof. It has a big open spot on the roof instead. This is probably the best in terms of quality, but it has an off-putting price and/or style for many, which is understandable. Their lead times are also very long.

The Turn Off-Road and Rally are probably of similar quality. Maybe an improvement on the OEM option, but IMO both look a little cheap. Of course, Turn has a lot of goodwill and satisfied customers, other they've had issues with the rear window seal, which they've worked to help fix.

I don't think it takes long to get a TO top, like maybe weeks? I don't know about Rally, but if you want it quick, TOR is probably your best bet.

The OEM top isn't actually that bad by now; I would say look for a few weeks or whatever to see if you can find a used one on Facebook Marketplace or whatever. However, it's really not that much more than TOR and Rally, and has that middle-row removable option no one else has, plus the fit should be the best. We've heard of people having trouble getting them delivered. Not sure about wait time.

I have the Turn offroad. Although I believe it is a little quieter but not by much. I have never actually tested. It doesnt bother me so I never added sound deadening to the top. Love the look as I had the soft top originally.

Do you think the Turn off Road and rally look cheaper than the oem ford one? I saw the issues with the rear seal for turn off road and that was a concern going into it. I havent seen too many people go with the rally top.

Given far superior design and quality of Armadillo tops, going all in, despite price and wait time:

- Only aftermarket top with full open air experience ie removable roof inserts front and back seat
- Only top where front and back seat top inserts fit snuggly into back of vehicle
- Only top made of material that won't warp or crack, MUCH safer in an accident
- Sound deadening blows away all other tops hard or soft, hands down
- Gull wings for storage and ventilation
- Excellent molle panels integration
- Hardtop design gives more headroom inside vehicle
- Both slant back and square back designs (I'm square back all day)

Turn Offroad is cheaper, but fiberglass tops crack, peel and warp, Aluminum is MUCH safer in an accident, made to LAST. The VERY early model of Armadillo top, they literally rolled it, really held up:

https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...-hardtop-3000-mile-review.101063/post-2336500

Also, only Armadillo and Ford factory tops have open air in front AND back seat. For me, the fact that other aftermarket tops do not open all the way, it's such a bummer. While Ford top can be open in front and back seats, they designed the back seat top insert as one giant piece! How do you take off all roof inserts and store them when on the road? Put the back seats down, really? For this reason alone, the Armadillo top sold me as their front and back top inserts fit perfectly in back storage area:

My plan is to rig for overlanding via Armadillo / Gobi Racks collab. (see pics) When I go on trips, I'll put on a side opening rooftop tent on the back of Gobi rack, Gobi design allows for rear mount. This way I can have the convertible experience up front, even when overlanding, closing up the top as needed when on my trips.

Clearly, I'm convertible / open air experienced obsessed, plus want my investment to last. I sold my 68' Bronco to pay for my Badsqautch and I expect the full open air experience plus all the other advantages. Been watching these Armadillo tops develop for a while, so stoked people are now taking deliveries of their tops!

Yes, but I think a better question is do they look good enough? Sure, they look ok.

I have the turn Offroad. It is noticeably quieter than the soft top. Plus turns out my soft top rattled a lot which the turn Offroad top doesn’t do. It’s also quieter than I remember the oem hard top being on my 2 door.
But it’s still not modern full size pickup with a fixed roof quiet. I dont think a Bronco will ever be that quiet.
My turn Offroad only took a couple days to get to me after ordering. It was in stock and ready to go.

… I have to disagree. I don’t think the Turn Offroad looks cheap at all. And in fact the metal inserts for the roof rack attach point look nicer than oem. I also prefer that it's actually black over the gray of the OEM.
