I did my own spreadsheet to try and justify the Black Diamond. It did not help me out. Opinions on value of the different pieces may vary.

And the Black Diamond is LESS money if you don't Squatch or get the floor liners. The only reason I wanted Sasquatch on the Base was it's the only way to get a locking diff from the factory. And my real reason for wanting the floor liners is to not have carpet under my feet.

So Black Diamond is a way better deal for what I need, but more than I want to spend. Unless I can talk myself into getting a non-factory rear diff on my Base, I may have to live on Ramen for another 5 years and get the BD.

I've always liked the Cyber Yellorange, despite the flak it gets for making the Bronco look like a mini school bus, and had originally put my reservation in for a Wildtrak with that color in mind.

Then the interior walk-thru video happened. It made me start looking at other models and getting estimates for aftermarket stuff that would be an equivalent or improvement to what other models had.

I thought maybe a BD would work, since I could get Cyber Yellorange on it. The BD came to $6k over the similar optioned Base without the rock-rails and modular bumper. (both were Sasquatch) Paying $6k to get the color I'd like isn't going to happen.

Then I saw the pictures of the Cyber Yellorange BL at the R&D parking lot and started to waver in my decision to go all in on an Aftermarket modified Base. The $10k cost over my Base build brought me back to reality.
It's not that I can't afford it, I can, but I can't justify the price jump to get the few things I would like.

I'm basically set on a Sasquatched Base with 2.7 & 10 spd in either Rapid Red or Velocity Blue. (Rapid Red is winning, since we've yet to see a completed VB Bronco)

I have the estimate for ceramic window tinting on all the side glass and hatch, with rear windows and hatch tinted darker to mimic privacy glass. Ceramic window tint is much more expensive but worth the investment to reduce cabin temps from sun. (google it, you'll see what I'm talking about)

I figure with the $6k I would've used to step up to BD, I can build a Base that's more to my liking, better looking (personal opinion), and as capable. (if not more capable)

The only thing that is uncertain is the MIC top's final color. It shouldn't look bad on Rapid Red or Velocity Blue and I'll probably live with it in it's final color, because everything I'm finding out about regarding spraying Line-X Ultra on it isn't looking positive, adhesion wise.

That's something that'll be unknown until people start getting them and attempting a top color change.

I just want something similar to my son's 1970 Bronco...but with a warranty and axles that haven't been broken already.?

After spending way too much time on the B&P this is what I am down to:

1. BL / Manual / High Package (10% probability): this happens only if I get to the dealer to order and just say 'Screw it, I'm getting exactly what I want'. Note - the probability on this drops to 0% if my wife is with me.
2. Base / Manual (40% probability): this happens if I just get what I really need. IF Ford would let me get a rear locker and 33" tires on this the probability would go to 99.9%.
3. Base / ManSquatch (50% probability): the Sasquatch package is just such a good value it is hard for me to turn it down. I don't really want 35" tires but I would love to have the upgraded suspension. Do I need it - no, but I want it. The thing that will keep me from ordering this is the late availability. Knowing Ford they will delay my Bronco and give me a MY2021 in 2025 just because I had the audacity to order a ManSquatch.

Regarding the gearing on the Base Mansquatch vs. the Base w/ 30" tires. What will the difference be if I were to swap out for 32 or 33" tires on the non-sasquatched base vs. down sizing to 32 or 33" from the sasquatched variant in terms of general driveability?

I love the look of the squatch but living in MN, snow driving is of utmost importance, and I will likely never offroad to the capabilities of what Sasquatch is designed for. Main things I want Sasquatch for are the looks, and advanced 4x4, but its a lot of money for features that will never/rarely be used, and reduced mpg... decisions, decisions...

I am planning on getting the base, keeping wheels and tires for maximum MPG and daily driving.
Then I will also get 32" with new wheels as well. I will swap out for "off roading season". I am getting the roof rack, the straps and the canoe for "the looks" and of course, so I can get on the lake 20 miles away whenever I want.

Identical thought about your 99.9% comment. I want the Black Diamond wheels and the rear locker. Eventually would replace the 32s with 33s. But I don't want or need anything else the BD has.

Someone else on this thread said I should be able to add the rear locker.

My Jeep has 33’s with 3.21 axle gearing and 205 horsepower. It is completely gutless but livable. With 3.73’s and the significantly more powerful engine the base Bronco will be fine with a few inch bigger tires.

Are you in my brain right now? I also have #1 and #3. My #2 can't happen anymore: was 51% sure I wanted a black diamond Mansquatch with Mid package.

Since Ford isn't offering the mid package with the manual trans on trims below Badlands, I see no value in the black diamond for the price. With the tech/safety features being equal, I could get a basemansquatch for around $5k less than a BD Mansquatch and have virtually the same vehicle minus the washout interior

I was team BD manual all the way until B&P showed Mid pkg not available. Wanted it mostly for safety since it'll be our family car. I will not buy up to BL! So now I'm thinking BaseManSquatch. Also thinking I may step down to the 2 door and keep the Subaru.

It was for a 2Door based off of a Jeep 2Door, so at best it was a rough estimate without seeing the vehicle in person.

It will depend on the place you have it done at and the grade/type of ceramic tint they have and use., but the quote was for $600 (roughly a bit more than double the cost of normal premium).

The Nano ceramic type tint is extremely expensive and would push the cost higher, so this if for the standard Ceramic tint.

Yeah, it's more expensive than the normal premium tint but worth the investment (in my personal opinion).

I should also mention that there is also a clear ceramic tint (if you can even call clear a 'tint') that people have either put as an eyebrow across the top of the windshield or had the whole windshield covered in it. I didn't get this quoted, but I am considering it simply because of the infrared heat reduction.

So, I've looked around and can't find anything on this, maybe I'm not using the correct search words.

BaseSasquatch is appealing to many on this thread. I noticed the information on Ford.com compare models pdf is contradicting the B&P tool. The compare sheets list front and rear electronic lockers, but B&P only lists rear that I can tell. The other thing I noticed on the 360 interior view is, the buttons on the dash for engagement aren't shown on the dash above the flat screen.

This might just be an oversight, but it got me wondering a bit. I'm probably way too nit picky about it, but nonetheless, I figured I'd ask since I could find any clarification in my searches. Does anyone know, from the Q&A's or online interactions, anything related to these differences?
