if it is too high, any recommendation on side steps that are very functional and safe versus looks?

Base Sasquatch is definitely too high without steps for “short elderly” but totally doable with the factory “tube step” and would be very comfortable with tube step and without Sasquatch. Base no Sasquatch no step for short elderly would probably be uncomfortable to enter/exit.

Short-elderly =Stay away from Broncos.

Any hip, knee, shoulder, or back flare up or problems will make a climb in or out of the Bronco, an adventure in pain.

A base non sas is fine as long as the elderly person is taller.

Define elderly. My kids would say i am at 55. I’m also 5’5”. i don’t use any steps to get in a Sas BL. I imagine someone with issues could just get a step.
