I've been lurking for a while now and was reading all the ordering threads from months back on what everyone was planning and now i'm thinking of pulling the trigger myself.

I think I know my answer but there's a couple questions I have for the experts here. I'm leaning towards a base 2 door, manual and adding on an aftermarket 2 inch lift/leveling kit and wheels and tires (33's), and also a trailer hitch. I'd like to think I'd go offroading but this will honestly end up being a daily driver.

- I'd like the sasquatch package as I think longer term the Bronco's will hold their value very well and especially manual and sasquatch package models. I just find it very hard for me to justify the upcharge on the sasquatch package of $7,400.

- I also will need a trailer hitch for towing and would be nice to get the trailer package, but I don't want to upgrade to big bend just to get that. Also, doesn't seem like a straight install as of right now with the harness wiring.

- I don't really need any of the other features/trim levels. The only thing i'd like is the 12 inch screen, but definitely not worth the trim level upgrades to get that and I actually prefer cloth seats.

Is my best bet going base and then spending the money on wheels and tires, and the 2 inch leveling kit that I like, and then also adding on the trailer hitch and wiring afterwards? Or would anyone think there's a better way to accomplish that while also thinking of value.

If you are going to do regular hard core offroading then Base is probably not for you.

But for lighter offroad and for primarily daily driving, then Base is great.

Trailer hitch is an easy add on for half the price of factory. And you can run 33" tires without a lift

Ordered base 4 door in October and got January build scheduled. Already have trailer hitch and wiring harness from eBay ready to bolt on. And Curt sells a harness kit with adapters so you don’t have to splice any cables. Will keep lurking on eBay for a good deal on Bronco wheels from another trim package

That's what I was thinking with going with the base, just wasn't sure from a longer term perspective if the sasquatch package would be a better deal but I honestly won't get the off-road value out of it.

That's good to hear on the build time. With all the constraints I was assuming it'd be a year plus out, but with base seems like it'd limit the constraints.

Are orders moving along on the 2 door base with the MIC tops now?

@Someshoes has given me a lot of advice on the Base. He knows his stuff, and will have some good advice for you if he sees this post. (y)

Trailer hitch and wiring will be an easy do if all you need is a 4 pin.

There is nothing easy about adding trailer wiring. Many, many posts on this.

I'm sure you are correct that the Curt plug and play wiring harness will be above and beyond many's ability, but in that case they should be ordering everything they want from the factory to begin with. But for those who understand things like righty tighty and such, the harness will be easy enough.

Theres nothing to plug it to. Wires have to be pulled from engine compartment...

Did you get a 10 pin connector? I want to tow a small travel trailer

@Crispy93 I can’t help you on the trailer hitch and wiring. But I have a base 4dr 2.7 with a leveling kit and 33s. Barely under 40k. I plan on doing light off-roading in the future. I got the leveling kit from Rough Country and the dealer added it to ‘keep it under warranty’. Better to do that than not have to deal with it later. The 33s were going to be added on from Discount Tire but the dealer matched the price. Pics for proof.

Yes. Except for the leveling kit. No one makes a leveling kit, they mistakenly label half a lift kit as a leveling kit. The front of the Bronco is 3/4” lower than the rear so anything above 3/4” is not a leveling kit, it is a brodozer starter kit. If you get a two inch half a lift kit, all you need is a pair of white Oakley Gas Cans and to have your niece bedazzle the rear pockets of all your pants to complete the transformation into a douche. It is probably best to leave the suspension alone so that when you hook up a trailer you will be mostly level. Plus the 33” tires will fit just fine as is.

Never heard of a 10 pin connector. 4 or 7 seems to be the norm...
