I have the Badlands with leather so it has carpet. Anyone added Rubber floors by pulling the carpet. I would buy stock rubber flooring or aftermarket. This maybe a winter project for me.

Was hoping someone beat me to it because I’m interested in swapping carpet for the rubberized on my BB

My insight here ends at that I build the F-150 Lightning. In the trim department. Ford would never have different floor pans dependent on trim level. For ease of production (and cost) it would simply be a rubber grommet to plug the drain hole, then just covered by carpet. Remove seats, center console and all bottom trim pieces and carpet should be held by 2 or 3 push pins on each side

I have a Wildtrak that I have on order and patiently awaiting a build date for. I will be ripping the carpet out of and installing the rubberized oem floors along with waterproof soundproofing in between. Some say the carpet insulates the sound better but as much as my dog sheds, carpet is not an option long term.

Washout floor should have been standard. Carpet or heated leather floors and butt wipers should have been the optionals.
A true XL trim level Bronco. Base Seats, Rubber Floor, Locker, Tow. I’d love it.

They mentioned on a Jeep podcast it was in development or at least in the plans.

any luck with swapping it out? If not I found these matts that could cover most of the carpet

Hello There!

Great minds think alike, my dog sheds like crazy and his hair will stick in every nook and cranny of carpeted floor so I purchased the vinyl flooring from Ford back in November, just waiting on my Bronco build in 2 weeks (2/09/2023). I have plans to pull the carpet, have the Soundskins sound dampening ( https://soundskinsglobal.com/collec.../soundskins-pro-ford-bronco-template-kit-2021 ) and the Dynamat Cargo kit ( https://www.extremeterrain.com/dynamat-bronco-xtreme-custom-cut-cargo-kit-xfo-b6-t.html ) installed under the slide out tailgate which are also in the pile of upgrades I already have.

One thing that did surprise me was the amount of padding on the bottom of the rubberized floor. I plan on posting a thread on it once completed with pics. If you don't have the slide out tailgate you'll need the rear cargo area Vinyl floor as well.

how many parts did you need to order for the floor swap and what did it run you?

I still own a Willys (A real Willys!) CJ3A. Metal flooring, wash-out…. (high tech????) which I have seen flooded way back when on more than several occasions.

Unfortunately, because of my age, I do not understand anyone who would order an off-road vehicle with carpeting or leather seats. I’m sure you all will explain it to me…..

and as a though, if ya get the vinyl floor, could you possibly install it OVER the carpet for extra padding/sound deading.

easy, it wasnt an option! i had a choice of a few vehicles. 1 lacked all the fun stuff but had the vynl floors and the other two have leather specked. The cloth would get filthy so rather have the leather for the Wildtrak but the badlands build I still have a deposit on the joker specked leather which is stupid IMO. to each their own but ya would love the vinyl floors if possible. If i was going to custom order one it would have the vinyl all day.

why would it get wet? the grommets seal down around the vynl to the floor over the draine holes. With your logic the vynl flooring would hold water under it. The drain plugs go over the vinyl and into the holes sealing it from going under the flooring. Vinyl or not if it worked like that any vehicle floor that got wet would hold water and rot under the floors.
