Bare-bones Badlands Unicorns

Anyone else out there going Badlands but NOT getting MID, or adding sound deadening? Add a manual into that mix for ultra exclusivity... Any takers? Just curious how rare my girl will be. Unicorn status?

Not trying to debate your builds or why I did what I did.... You probably get it or you don't... but I am curious how alone I am.....

Yes you will definitely have a unicorn in my opinion. It will be nice for you to not have to worry about all the extras having issues too.

2dr Badlands, standard package, 2.7, Auto, roof rack, fold down table, velocity blue. Dealer tried to upsell me on MID package but I've yet to figure out why I need auto dimming mirror and lights on my feet.

Do you know what an auto dimming mirror is? Genuinely curious. It doesn’t sound like much but they’re a joy to have. Maybe not so much in a big Bronco but in my Challenger it’s nice not getting blinded by someone in their Audi with headlights as bright as the sun.

Yep, most dealers are trying to pull the "don't order up front" bit because they want to try to stick you with the install cost instead of the reimbursement from Ford.

I suspect a series of lawsuits on this. I had the winch and Roof rack in my build sheet that I handed to them back in January. I'll get both, but won't be paying for the install and can't wait to call corporate and have my lawyer draw up some sort of challenge that'll be a headache for dealerships if they attempt to be dishonest with this.

I think the mid package is just a ridiculously good value for everything that you get. Most people aren't going to turn that down, but if there's nothing in there you want no sense in spending the money. It will definitely be a rarity.

Wow so the dealer is lying. Ford isn't installing the accessories in the factory but they are giving a rebate to dealers for doing it. My dealer was saying there will be an installation charge already...

If the Bronco was for me and not my wife I think the only option to select would have been picking a color. I want the 2.7, but a Badlands 2 door manual would be perfect for me with nothing else added. The only mod would have been taller tires when the stock ones wore out.

I installed one in my Focus ST that I sourced off the Interwebs for $50 and 3hrs work. Easy Peasy. Had a temperature sensor AND compass in it as well!

Where do you live that you need the block heater? I live in CO and have it on my f150 and have never once plugged it in. Not to mention Ford has made like 3-4 recalls on the plug. Cut the plug off, then install a new plug later, then cut it off again and finally reinstall another one.

I went with the 2 Door Badlands, cyber orange, 4 cyl. Manual, no mid upgrade. Only thing I added was door keypad and a bikini top. I live in California so I plan on having the top off 10 months out of the year
