Actually, I learned how valuable chase lights can be in all places, on the Alcan in winter. Following trucks, or almost anything, there is a huge cloud of snow. Anything that can let people know you're there in that cloud, had a few instances where it would have been a lot safer if more vehicles had something. Driving through Baja too, not just for racers, but anybody, anywhere there is a lot of dust (dirt or snow). And yes, I will be taking my Bronco (if I ever get it), both down to Baja, and also through the Arctic in winter.

But, this thread was about reverse lights, and I seemed to have derailed it...
LOL. ANY chase light is better then NO chase light. So be it low or high, having something is better then nothing.

This is what is on my Raptor

It's up high and it's a dedicated chase light. However not everybody builds their truck to do off-road adventures only. 99.99% of the trucks are daily drivers, etc... which is why having an option to throw on some amber covers IF/WHEN you do decide to go on a trail is a great thing.

If you are planning to go rock crawling, you're gonna want a different setup then most bolt on kits offer. BUT for 99.99% of the trucks on the road, these bolt-on options are just awesome solutions.

BTW check this video out. I could not see ANYTHING after this truck came barreling past us (he claims his breaks went out, but he passed 2 of us doing this, and he passed me on the wrong side, i almost hit the guy as i was pulling to the right to let him by).
