I’m just curious about how many badlands owners out there have vinyl seats instead of leather. Mine is a four door with leather and a lot of the badlands I’ve seen before purchasing mine had leather, actually I don’t think I’ve even seen a listing for one with the vinyl seats. I’m also curious to see if the number of doors makes a difference, since all I’ve ever looked at was four door broncos.

You have to have at least the 'Mid Package', and then you can add the Leather option. It's separate from the Mid or Lux packages themselves though, So you can have a Lux with MGV seats

I have a BD and love the MGV. It is not bad looking and not bad to the touch. Not the nicer feel or look of full leather, but not bad and strikes me as much more durable. I buy and hold cars for life. Have had a lot of badly cracked leather after owning for years even while using leather care products. I'll be curious to see how MGV holds up over the years, but I have a good feeling. The BL has the front locker and disco stay bar. They just strike me a MGV vehicles while the OBX is a leather vehicle. I sat in a Braptor at a dealer with MGV and wash out interior. Fine by me even for that price tag if you are going to be off road and get it dirty. Now, a street only BL I can see leather. I just don't think you will get as many years out of it as MGV without cracking. Time will tell...

Love my BL MGV seats. 26k miles and look brand new. Easy clean-up of dirt and liquids.

They do get pretty hot in the summer if the sun is on them while parked. I just leave a towel on them if parked in the sun for awhile.

I’m getting ready to order a 2025 BL as soon as pricing comes out and have gone back and forth on this. Assuming the leather / power option is still $2,000 I think I’m going the MGV route.

I actually like the look and feel on the MGV better than leather and like the flooring better. The two things I’m worried about are the adjustability of the manual seats and the MGV being hot / sticky in the summer.

I have the vinyl and it's ok, I do plan on going with katzkin or another seat co to get leather. For the factory cost needing to go to higher l
high lux (I have mid) and the fact A lot of factory leather is either thin or mostly vinyl I will do it myself.

I like cloth seating material for its ability to breathe and not get too hot or cold. Remember when vinyl was the low-end seating material? Ah, good times.

I didn't want the washout floor, or vinyl seats. Wanted power heated seats as well.

Leather trimmed vinyl was what my wife and I chose.

The MGV definitely does not breathe. Your back and butt will be sweaty in summer weather. MGV = SwampAss. Other than that, they are great.

Originally I was wanting a black diamond because of the MGV and washout flooring, but I got lucky and got a good deal on my badlands. And after test driving a bronco that had the MGV in the summer my wife and I almost immediately decided against it lol. Even on the short test drive I could tell that it wouldn’t be very comfortable when temps get near triple digits, which is frequent in the south. Even in “fall”.

Had MGV in our '22 Badlands w/ Lux package and absolutely hated them... manual adjustments that I just couldn't get into "the" spot, and non-adjustable headrests that were titled too far forward for my liking. Our '22 Wildtrak with the High package has the leather seats and has been much more comfortable for me personally.

I understand…back in October 2021, while waiting for my order to get processed (Badlands manual Sasquatch), I spent an hour at the Texas State Fair going back and forth between two models they had, comparing the leather to the MGV. I actually liked both materials and really wanted the rear cup holders more than the power seats. In the end, I wanted the washout floors more than both and stayed with the MGV. I’ve since added the aftermarket cupholders (not as nice as the leather fold-down, but works). I like the comfort and feel of the MGV and don’t move the seat that often…so I’m happy with my choice given I’ve had a lot of mud and dust on the seats and floors.
