AVS bug deflector - Anyone have experience with it.

Is anyone using the AVS bug deflector? Specifically the AVS® BUGFLECTOR® II BUG SHIELD. Mounts under the hood and does not touch the hood. Wondering how it is in the winter with snow and washing/carwashes.

Last Bronco I got hit by a rock in the front of the hood. Then it hit the middle of the hood and ended up bouncing off the windshield. Was hoping this might increase the defense on something like that happening again.

Interesting I’m gonna message them and see if this will work for the bronco raptor. I’ve been looking for one where I don’t have to heat up plastic to make it fit.

If you select through their vehicle options and it selects, it then literally says "All Models Except Raptor Models".

In case they end up making one for Braptor, I like mine and it reduced bugs and stones on the highway. Looks & works great BUT use heat (I didn’t) when installing to reduce it pulling up on edges like mine.
I’ve got to pull it off one day and fix it.

This one specifically doesn’t attach with automotive tape. That’s why I am interested in knowing anyone’s experience with it.

Sorry - I should have looked closer at your pic. I also have that one, but it is on my 4Runner. No great pictures, but works and looks great applied with the screws and stick on bumps and never had a problem, 10K miles driving on highway and off road. I don's see why it wouldn't work great on a Bronco.

Yup. That’s the one. I am sure the experience is close to identical. Do you live where it snows? Taken it through a car wash?

Snow in CO last year, you could see it pushing snow away on 82. Car wash once or twice, I try to hand wash.

No noise, rattling, coming loose or any other issues.

I too rather hand wash. The salt needs from winter needs to be washed off asap and in winter that’s the car wash for me. Any chance to spray that off, I’ll do it.

Get the AVS Aeroskin version instead. It's excellent.
