Believe it's a PSA L-1011

My Dad worked on that one too.....He worked for Lockheed for 43 years, starting in late 40's or early 50's. Worked on everything and I mean everything ;), including the Cheyenne. Took early retirement when Lockheed was transferring F-22 program to GA.

Early F-104B development

So he left around 1990? I was working in Plant B6 at that time. Made the move to Palmdale in 1993.

I believe he left around 1991. I believe he was in Burbank at the time, maybe Palmdale. Kinda of unwritten rule we never really discussed where he was or what projects. Most were at Burbank, and later at Palmdale, and sometimes he would fly out on Monday and be home on Friday. Probably should change my color choice ;). Even at 91 yrs old his lips are sealed. He did attend the Blackbird fly over in Burbank and did work on your avatar.

Don't think it's PSA or TWA..emailed him w/ pic. He's mind is still very good

I'll play.

These are the day jobs. The owner's old HJ's tail was N420DD... According to him, "all you need is life is good weed and fat titties." Word is the wife made him change it when he got a new one.

We may very well have met. I worked The avatar as well start to finish. Both were a lot of fun. Tell him hello from a fellow Skunk.

Will do! I always remember the "Black Curtains" when the hanger doors were open on those hot summer days in Burbank. Can't recall the name but there was documentary on Prime in the last couple of years on the development of the plane. KJ was quite the genius. Amazing what was done with slideruler, drafting table and limited budget.

It’s a D21 Drone. Google it as it has some interesting history and was mounted to the SR-71
