I personally would go with the Badlands…..…but it’s to each his own. if your not going to be doing much in the way off off-roading then wait for the WT. Did you upgrade to the modular bumper?
Thanks - I do want to do some off roadin'. I do some with my TJ but limited due to 3.07 gearing. I am going to go for it keep my reservation and then figure out what to do when and if the one I reserved comes in. The Badlands has the modular bumper.

I would bet that they are only willing to sell you the Badlands at MSRP because they probably intend to make an ADM on your WT. My guess is that they won’t let you take both at MSRP, but rather the choice. Also, buy Ford Extended Service Plans online directly from Ford (not a dealer) for best pricing possible.

Don’t settle. Stick to your guns and get your WT. I can’t imagine the dealership allowing you to have your cake and eat it too by getting both at MSRP on the swap.

If only I could be confronted with a choice like that. I would be driving that Badlands tomorrow. When you're in for 58K what's another 2K in the whole scheme of things. Good luck on your choice.

When I originally did my reservation I signed up for the WT…. Don’t compromise on what you want…. I’ve driven the WT and I’ve driven the Outerbanks both had the V6 and SAS….I couldn’t really tell any real differences…..I am glad however that I went with the Badlands based upon my typical off road adventures.…the vehicle as built has many items that I need….will I upgrade some of the items of course….that’s part of the fun…

I had a similar choice and drove a 4 door Big Bend off the lot last week. My 2 door Basesquash may come in 2022 or it may not, but I'm glad I made this choice.

I thought it was a compromise going in, but once I started weighing things I found that this might be the better choice.

My suggestion is to sit down, figure out your nonnegotiable items, but have a look regardless. Some things you just don't know until you've looked in person.

Tell him you want the extended warranty for $50 over dealer cost (since I knew I could get it elsewhere for that price). Finance guy pushed back and said “I can do employee pricing (which is $70 over cost). I said no thanks. He said “are you really gonna walk over $20?” I said “are you really gonna lose that extended warranty notch in your belt over $20?” He did the whole “I’ll go talk to my manager but he isn’t gonna go for this I’ll tell ya that right now.” 3 minutes later he walked back in all quiet and looking dejected. Ha! I didn’t even have to ask “so what did your manager say?” because it was clearly written on his face. 🤣

I mean it’s not that you are getting a deal there at $50 over cost since it is advertised elsewhere for the same price. But at least you get a decent price on one and they can feel like they threw you a solid. Ha!

Thanks for the advice. My buddy had two reservations. Got his first Bronco and waiting for the second. His dealer is doing the exact same thing trying to put the squeeze on him for ADM on the second one.

I am going to take the Bronco. It is Richmond, CA on a train. Supposed to be delivered Monday or Tuesday. I am keeping my reservation for the Wild Trak for now. I am going to shop on line for the extended warranty from Ford as suggested here. Now I have to sell my TJ!

Sounds like that BL is pretty well loaded . . . I might do it if I were in your shoes . . . Had a similar dilemma - ordered the WT at 12pm on Day One . . . highly spec'd to the tune of just under 60k . . . dealership had a BL order delivered and cancelled in January - called me as I had patiently been waiting. BUT the BL was Yellow (Cyber Orange) and my order was Black. Had the 2.3 and High Package (I ordered the WT - 2.7 - and the Lux package) . . . pretty much everything else fit and would have been a few thousand less . . . but I opted to hold out (I really, REALLY, wanted the all-black accents and wheels). But to say I was not tempted would be a lie!! Good Luck!

Would you have to pay sales tax twice if you bought the BL and then sold or traded it to get the WT? Sales tax could be considerable depending on where you live.

MSRP ahh yes please. And you can get the extended warranty through Granger. I believe they were doing 50$ over dealer cost.

Yesterday I got a VM from my dealer saying that a customer cancelled a reservation on. 2022 Badlands that was similar to my reservation and would I be interested. Badlands is 4DR with MIC, Squatch, 2.7, LUX, Tow and leather. MSRP is $61,625. Color is Carbonized Gray. I asked if I cancelled my reservation and took this Bronco could I apply my Price Protection and he said no. They would only sell it at MSRP. It is about $2k difference. I then asked if he could throw in extended warranty and he gave me some BS about maybe discounting the warranty by $500. What do y’all think buy this one or wait for the one I reserved and ordered?
I see you’re in Monterey. Which dealer is this?
