Wt vs bl features topper, ride, loudness

I’m really struggling between the wt and bl. A few features really hanging me up, no power control or duel climate in bl (I know it’s first world problems and especially with a truck like this), wt sandstone is ugly if I’m blacking out my bronco, but what really has me scratching my head is when I choose 2.7 it makes me deselect the sound deadening head liner. Does anyone know why or if the sound deadening headliner is a must? Any info you can share would greatly be appreciated. I concerned about road noise in bl with no carpet and no sound deadening. Does anyone know know if the wt is built any different than the bl? I mainly will drive around town and honestly little beach or trail but if one is geared to a smoother ride in town that may sway me. Lastly, does anyone know about the leather vs marine grade vinyl? Would be nice to know if they actually use this on other Ford vehicles. Not sure what the difference between vinyl and marine grade ( just on doesn’t mildew) Little concerned how it will handle extreme temps in MN -40 to 105...

No one really knows about road noise at this point. they are roughly the same vehicle minus interior features and the sway bar disconnect. there's also more bash plates on the BL and a rock crawl mode instead of sport which the WT has. MGV looks and feels great similar to leather, It's also water and mold proof. You Can also get all the same options on the BL as WT only difference is Mid isn't standard on BL like WT, you have to select it. Both go up to the LUX pack if you want. Based on what you're going to do you need to get the WT. Also the No headliner with the 2.7 has to do with GVWR look it up there's lots about it. Basically it adds too much weight for ford to safely sell the vehicle based on safety guidelines. That should only be on BL due to the upgraded bash plates (heavier). WT should be fine with it. or you can go aftermarket with it.

All good information stated above. You can order your headliner from the dealer after you receive your bronco. A matter of fact you can order any of the options after you receive your bronco. Its all about gross vehicle weight. But once you drive it home you can do whatever you want. There are some great after market companies out there. One for headliners is Hotheads (https://hotheadheadliners.com)

I originally ordered the WT but change to the BL due to the interior color options. Gotta get what makes you happy.

MGV is not on other Ford vehicles yet. I would get the BL based on what you have said or a mid level black diamond w/MGV if you don't need additional offroad ability (I beilieve it gets the climate control you want at this level). You could get the sound dampening on BD too.

So, I'm not sure if I should start another thread, but I'm just curious if you think the Wildtrak will be about as capable as the Badlands when it comes to rock crawling. I live in Utah, and I know we've got a TON of rock crawling we can do out here, but I think I want the Wildtrak. Just hoping I don't get left behind if we head out to Moab.

I live in Utah, and I know we've got a TON of rock crawling we can do out here, but I think I want the Wildtrak. Just hoping I don't get left behind if we head out to Moab.

No I do not. The wild track is built to be a dune runner. It is the trim that’s closest to the Raptor. The badlands is built for rock crawling and extreme off roading. It’s the most capable off road ready. The badlands also has the Front Stab disconnect as well as upgraded steel bash plates full body also. If you’re going to MOAB the Badlands is what you want. The WT might do ok in the rocks but the BL would be better IMO

I originally reserved a WT, but very early on changed my mind and ended up ordering a fully loaded BLs.

Go with the Badlands, the 33" tires will give better ride quality then the 35" tires on the Wildtrack. With 33" replacements you can get softer S/L load range tires whereas the 35" tires are only available in load range C or stiffer.

Yeah I did. Went 2.7l squatch MIC LUX tow package and and on vehicle door storage bags.

I wonder how much the different modes really change the driving. Maybe crawler would be a big difference but what do the other modes do? My explorer had some cactus mode, snow mode, trail, and normal. I don’t feel they do much different other than gear it down so I don’t spin out when accelerating in the snow mode....
