Are you only going for the day or the weekend? You'll love the trails and obstacles at Ol' Florida. I've been there a few times. I haven't made up my mind on the Ol' Florida New Years event yet. Last year, it was freezing cold and I'm too much of a weather wimp.

My son and I are attending ol Florida’s new years event. Gonna be our first time. Should be in the 80’s this weekend so hopefully it will stick around till next week.

For those attending SCE and plan to explore the GSMNP, you need to acquire a parking permit this year. It doesn't guarantee parking, but it will prevent you from being ticketed if parking longer 15 minutes at trailheads, pull-offs, visitor's centers (i.e. Cades Cove).
