Are your door hinges painted?

Quality is not job 1 at Ford.

I’d be putting that issue in my dealers lap. It should be an easy fix. No need for rust to start forming .

Automotive Touchup has the exact paint match for Cyber Orange. I had the beauty rings powder coated at a local shop.

What is the powder coat color they used to color match your paint? My hinges look rough too and was thinking of having them powdercoated but wasn't sure how hard it would be to get everything lined back up

Hi all,
I have had my doors off a few times now, and my door hinges are not fully painted. This seems strange as the Bronco is designed to have the doors off, and yet it gives my Bronco an unfinished look to it.
My question to all of you, is this how your door hinges look?
Let me know, and if mine are not like the majority, i.e., painted I will be going to visit my dearler and get them to paint them.

I am glad you posted this, I was helping a friend take her doors off her Bronco, same color as yours and the hinges are exactly like that. We only took the front doors off but both sides are like that. I don't get why it is so hard for Ford to try just a little bit on quality control. I assumed all Broncos were like that but if this is something the dealer should fix then that is good to know!

A year ago I reached out to Prismatic Powders and they provided me five color samples of what they felt closely matched Cyber Orange. After comparing the samples to the color of my Bronco, there were two that closely matched the paint; however they were not exact matches. If you want an exact match for your door hinges, I suggest going with Automotive Touchup Paint and spray it yourself (color codes in photo of first post). If you‘d like to powder coat your beauty rings for durability, contact Prismatic Powders and request color samples. I chose Sunrise Pearl (#PMB-4652) but you might prefer one of the other powders. Best of luck with your project and be sure to post photos.

Thanks for the information. I ended up going with Bright Orange for my trim rings and front and rear hooks from Prismatic as well. I have Cactus Gray and was thinking the powdercoated hinges might be better in the long run for durability with the doors coming on and off. I just wasn't sure how hard the hinges would be to get aligned after taking them off. The Sunrise Pearl looks great, I was thinking it would match my interior accents with the Badlands trim

I thought you might appreciate an update. I took my Bronco into the dealership and they agreed that the hinges should be painted. Not only that, but they also noted that the inside of the front fenders, closest to the hinges were also not painted, so they will paint those too.
Additionally, they will supply me with a loaner vehicle while the truck is in the shop and anticipated turn around time will be two days. They will also supply me with a bottle of touch up paint from the left over paint.
I am glad that I asked and did not try to do it myself. They will do a much more professional job.

Hi all,

An update for you. I took my Bronco into the dealership yesterday so they could look at the issue of my unpainted hinges.
They not only agreed that they should have been painted, but they also noted the the inside of both of the front fenders, closest to the hinges were also not painted fully.
They will be painting both, under warranty, and at no cost to me.
They will provide a loaner vehicle, and have assured me that I will get the Bronco back in two days time!
How is that for a positive response to my issue?

If I remember correctly, about $250 for the five beauty rings. Attached are photos of my painted door hinges and powder coated rear tow hooks ($50).

Wow, that is an awesome looking Bronco. I am definitely going to powder coat my rings. Do you happen to know what exact colour they used for the powdercoating? I have not been able to find an exact match, but it looks like your guys did!
As to the hinges, mine will soon look like yours, as mine are being painted next week on Ford's dollars.
