I figured out why no one has mounts available for mounting the ARB Dual Compressor in the Bronco..

Absolutely zero place to fit it anywhere.

Doesn't fit under rear seats.
Doesn't fit well at all under front seats.
Doesn't fit behind trim panels in the back.
Doesn't fit in storage compartment in the back.

Absolutely zero room under the hood with the 2.7. The mounting location ARB showed is fake, it was resting on the wheel well carpeting. They also really had to risk cracking their coolant overflow tank because the compressor doesn't even fit where they showed it.

After 3 hours of hunting, I found the absolute best spot for it.

I had to drill a bunch of holes through the Bronco, which hurt.

Where is it?

20211106_164226.jpg

Safest place it can be. Above the drive shaft and exhaust, under the rear cargo area. 36" above the deck, which just keeps it out of fording depth.

I'll finish the install tomorrow and share how I did it. This is more a PSA. Understand that mounting air compressors large enough for the 35+ inch tire club is going to require some vehicle modification.

I came up with a clever solution to remote mount the inlets in the cabin and where the quick connect will be. It's gonna be slick.

Always hard to drill that first hole in a new ride, but after the first one the rest are easy 🍍🍕

You know we've developed a twin compressor ARB mount right? It fits the 2.3L and once our prototype comes in we'll be modifying it a bit to fit the 2.7L as well
my front licence plate bracket shipped from you guys the other day, now all I need is my Bronco 😃

Since the skins of the fenders are removable, I wonder if there is enough room in one of the rears. Haven't seen a take off video on those yet

I have the Dual ARB Compressor and their 1 Gallon Tank. It is rather large and heavy and, of course, the Tank takes up a lot or room as well. I am waiting for my Bronco to arrive to figure out where it might go???

Inside the vehicle is NOT an option for me because this thing is too loud when airing up!

The engine compartment is where all the heat is but the one in my 4Runner has no problems in the Engine compartment with the Tank there as well. I wish there was such a Bracket for both compressor and Tank for the Bronco.

The other option, and maybe the best one, is under the truck as pictured, but protected with some type of "Skid Plate".

Looking forward to seeing the soon available mounting bracket options.......

There is a "reason" we're not sharing it with the world yet. As soon as we release it, everybody is going to start copying it. So we're not sharing anything until production is underway.
It is something like that under the hood scoop see the pic
It is consider under the hood???

I'll buy two if you make it work. Just to support the effort. I just can't picture it yet. The engine compartment is PACKED and there just aren't any good anchor points.

I ripped out all the trim in the rear. Maybe without lux you could fit it where the sub is.. but the left side has zero space due to fuel filler.

I tried to mimic what ARB did but it's clearly fake. You'll crack your coolant tank just putting it where they showed it on the prototype. I pulled the module to create room and there is no place to anchor it - it's sitting on a carpet wheel well.

The location I chose has it's minus.. using a template to put a few holes under the rear flooring. But once you get over the shock of that, the rest is pure genius.

Is there any room to mount to the bottom of the rear seats inside the cabin?

It's rated for full submersion, believe it or not. It's also located above maximum fording depth. It's on the bottom of the rear cargo area, which is about 37" from the ground with Sasquatch.

The intakes are in the cabin as well. There are factory wiring harnesses hanging lower than the compressor, so I think I'll have bigger problems if I go that deep.

I got he rear area cargo enclosure which has a three sided molle panel. I am hoping that the ARB will fit wall mounted on one of those panels. What are its dimensions?

It 100% weighs more than 20lb. It has to be at least a ton. My arms are killing me after fighting with it for 3 days.

Sorry for the delay. I think it'll mount fine, but you're going to have to use some beefy molle mounts of some type.

That's something I'm looking at as well. Even with that done, I wouldn't go much deeper than the 33" fording depth. So many random plugs and wiring looms below this truck. I'm sure they're all water tight, but makes me nervous.

I live in a desert and have crossed water deeper than about 24" maybe.. 2-3 times in the last 10 years? Just not a lot of water around here to play in.
