Easy steps to try before the dealer: using a different USB port in the Bronco in case the one you’re trying is dirty or just flaking out, and then another USB cable.

Try disconnecting your negative terminal on the battery for 15-30mins. Then reconnect. This resets your modem and sync system more than the double button press does.

This is what your dealer or ford customer support will do and it will probably resolve the issue.

And try all the other stuf listed above: update your phone, reset your network settings. Delete your vehicle from car play and add it again. Connect by usb the first time.

I am on a iPhone 14 iOS26.3 and sync 25.2.1.6.5.2
Most of my glitches are because my cellular carrier coverage is piss poor.

Update: found out my phone needed an update and it’s never worked better. Glad the fix was simple. Other reoccurring issue was CarPlay popping on with no sound. TBD if that occurs again.
