Thanks. It was a 2010 Z1000 that was sadly wrecked after being hit by a fellow rider. Wasn't yours a 2008? Or am I misunderstanding the Y2K part?

That's right, 2010. Mine was a 2008. I ran a custom plate with "2K8Z1K." It's been some time since my Z1000 days.

Ooh fun thread! I use to ride a lot back in the day. Solo trips from Maine to Key West, from NJ to Oregon, etc., but the rise of infotainment systems in vehicles made it too dangerous for my enjoyment. Having kids finally prompted me to sell the bike. Really, if I'm doing something fun I want them with me anyway.

Had a 1200 Sportster that I put 47k miles on before I bought a Triumph.

I miss it sometimes, but more that than I miss the feeling I got from riding. The vibes aren't the same these days so I find my fun elsewhere.
