Anyone install afe intake on 2.7

I have got it installed on my 2.7. Dont have any video clips and its hard to notice because i have a very loud exhaust. However, there is a significantly louder spooling / sucking sound.

i went with full air intake from k&n not just box or air filter
it whooshs but is not loud at all sounds almost as cool as my blow off valve and my borla touring full exhaust

I run Injen CAI on my 2.7. Lots of whoosh and I can hear the turbo's spooling! Great intake, though it was a pain to put on. Lot of pain.......

I do have power increase, but I have more than just the intake done on my Rig. I have exhaust, charge pipe, and tune.

You will gain power with the intake and tune. How much will be a dyno run, but IMO that will gain power. I have heard good things about the AFE, I did run that on my F150.

I went with Injen because of the way their system went all the way to the turbo, and the lower pipe had a bigger circumference to let more air go through the system. Also they will make a snorkel system for their setup, though I doubt I do it, it is always nice to have the option.

I've got the AFE oiled cold air intake. Just installed this past saturday. Couldn't be happier with the results. Surprisingly I found it on Amazon if you type in the part number and it comes out to $300 plus tax. I was a little skeptical cuz I thought it might be defective for that price, but the box and Hardware were all accounted for and intact!

I'd suggest with the $200 you're saving on this intake get yourself a turbo smart blow off valve, you won't regret it

Slight turbo noise increase when I do a quick acceleration that's it.

It claims there is a +16 HP and 25 lb ft increase but I can't say I felt it lol
I run premium gas too.

I'd say K&N's is louder as I heard it somewhere on YouTube.

Wow, the inlet looks really small for an Aftermarket. Does it use the OEM?

Yeah. Yes uses the OEM rubber inlet.

I think a lot of people are missing the maintenance aspect of these intakes… won’t you have to remove half the tubing to get it out?
