Anyone get stuck in limp mode yet 2.7

Yesterday while driving around 30mph the bronco started cutting out and loss most of its power then a few seconds later it died. First I thought crap It just dropped a valve. Coasted over to the side of the road which was less than mile away from home. Restarted and it turned over for about 4 full seconds then started back up but had no power like it was in limp mode. Putted home like 15mph, popped hood no smells or anything that I could distinguish what happened. About a hour later took for a test drive and everything seems fine again. I baby the bronco but said screw it I placed in sport mode and beat on it a little to see if I could get the problem to reoccur but as of now everything seems ok. Anyone else ever experience this ? 2800 miles on the clock.

Ive had my q50 go into limp mode a few times that was similar to this. It was the cam position sensor codes which always fixed themselves after a restart. I have a forscan reader coming in the mail today from amazon planning to check for codes. No check engine lights are on but Im sure there will be a code in there somewhere like my q50 did. Ive searched all over for others with this issue but no luck I figured I'd post here to share my experience with this issue. Broncos been great I love it but now questioning its reliability.

Your “beat on it a little” strategy reminded me of a post I saw from @flip earlier. Likely two different issues, but maybe able he can provide some insight?

These little turbo vehicles really need to have the shit driven out of them regularly to keep everything moving. If you just drive it a couple of miles back and forth to work every day you are at more risk for not getting the battery fully charged and possible turbo sticking issues. Not like moderately high, just slightly.

All I got was HVAC code U0424 which has nothing to do with my problem. Hopefully I doest do it again. Glad I have the forscan reader now to check on things I did the double honk disable while I had it hooked up that’s all I’m going to mess with.
