Is there any hope that I get my bronco this year? Reservation was July 2020. Order date was January 2021. Big bend, SAS, 2.7l, mid package 2 door. This is so frustrating. Any info would help. I read so much stuff that doesn’t seem to matter. I did re-order in October

Almost identical build as mine; only difference is I ordered a BD.

My dealer made sure that I understood that 2.7, SaS and 2 door are all major constraints. With aftermarket options available now I decided to drop the tow package a few weeks ago.

I can't do the 4 door, I won't do a soft top, if I am ordering from the factory I want the largest motor available and for the price and warrantee the SaS package is a no brainer.

I am hoping for an early '23 but time will tell.

I would say so, always have hope. If chip constraints and plant shutdowns continue I would get a little worried. I think a realistic expectation is to believe it'll be here before the end of the year barring something catastrophic. 🤷‍♂️

All depends on what number in line you are with you dealer.

No, not unless you already had it built and are awaiting shipping. 2021MY is just cleaning up the stragglers who are already mostly built. If you re-ordered for a 2022 last October, then yes/no/maybe so.

If you did not reorder (as you only speak of ordering once for a 2021) then you are out of luck unless your dealer converted it without telling you to a 2022, which means you still may be out of luck.

2 door probably impacts your odds as much as anything else, that said.....it seems like it matters most who your dealer is. If you're at a smaller dealer with less allocation it seems like it's way less likely. If you're at one of the larger dealers with allocation to spare it seems like it's much more likely. My dealer is probably top 20 in the country in terms of size and definitely largest in the area, so they had plenty of allocation left (that said I'm getting a soft top).

I did re-order in October. My dealer is pretty small as well. Not sure what their allocation is.

I think there is hope for your build and your reservation date. Not a guarantee, just hope.

I don't know if this is going to help or make things worse but there's always hope. It seems they're completely building them at random constraints aren't as big a deal as people make them sound like and order dates don't matter at all. It's basically a lottery which is frustrating but if you're looking for hope just remember that you probably have just as much chance of winning as anyone else so there's always hope.

Personally I've been getting really frustrated about it and kind of angry and the only thing that helps me feel a little better is reminding others to be hopeful.

It's a really cool rig and I'm going to be excited to have it but boy this has been an exhausting 600-ish days so far

I would think so.

I had a 7/13 reservation, but didn’t place my original order until 2/13/21 because they said that build date went off your reservation time stamp. Also, I was told my dealer would reach out to me to configure my bronco, but they never did. I finally just went in to do it. I think being a little late to actually place the order is what got me bumped to 22.

I went in to reconfigure for my 22 order in October the morning after the new build and price came online and mine was one of the first 500 2022s built. I didn’t remove any options. I ordered a wildtrak with sasquatch, lux package, tow, leather, and a hard top. Basically everything that they said would make it take longer.

I also ordered from a very small dealer. Everyone seems to think it’s all about allocation, but I have been told that special orders don’t count toward a dealer’s allocation. I know the constraints will hold up a build (or stall it, and get you banished to dirt/ice mountain), but I’m convinced that early order dates are what give you earlier build dates. Again, couple weeks late to order a 21—>bumped to 22, first in the door to order my 22—>first blend day of the 22s.

No matter what you read on here, it’s all just a guess as to why some builds are late and some get picked up earlier than expected. I personally don’t recommend removing so called constrained items from your build to get it faster, get what you want. Maybe something like a tow package, because that’s easy enough to add later, but you’ve waited this long, if you want a hard top, don’t change it now.

Congrats on getting your rig but.....

1- Order Date never mattered as long as you met deadlines.
2- Reservation date used to matter.
3- Allocations have mattered and are now all that matters.

Cheers!

We have a shit ton of spreadsheets from every build week and what have they proven? Nothing. We have tried to identify trends that lump certain builds together, but our theories always seem to fall apart. You seem very positive that you know what matters and doesn’t, but where did you get your information? Your dealer said? Or from this board, which is just speculation?

Even all the recent emails for the Raptor golden ticket holders are saying that those reservations don’t count toward your particular dealer’s allocation.

You don’t know what gets your rig built faster, and neither do I. I offered anecdotal evidence and never claimed to have figured out Ford’s build selection process. Take it for what it’s worth, but don’t act like you’ve cracked the code.
