They do have a cross member, but they don't have the diagonal support bars that the 2.7L have.
Plus they don't have the intercooler between the frame rails, so it's easier to put a winch between the frame rails.

See, I know I get ripped for paying a little over MSRP, BUT, I got exactly what I wanted and I figured there would be further price hikes, interest rate hikes and potential availability issue and I have a 2 door with a manual, so while I paid a little more, it was worth it compared to the alternative I think.
