I see in some other posts that Android Auto turn by turn directions show up in the gauge cluster. I do not have this showing up while navigating with Google Maps... am I doing something wrong?

If it matters, mine is a Basesquatch

Following for the opposite reason. It automatically shows up on mine and I would much rather have it not show up in the cluster and just on the main screen

Also not happening in my Basesquatch, but I'm somewhat skeptical it's a matter of trim level...

Could it be software version - either on phone or Sync?

Samsung S20 here, all up to date on Android 12... per Fordpass app the latest "power up" is 1.9. Use both Google maps and Waze.

I don't have the exact answer, but I've got a pretty strong theory.

I started by test driving a 21 BB standard package, and received a 22 BB mid package. The first one didn't have it, the second one did.

Everything else is the same, so it's either an update with the 22, or more likely, it's the mid package (which includes built-in navigation). My guess is it works if you have built-in nav (even if you're using android auto).

Side note: I haven't heard it discussed here but I'm 90% sure the processor is better in the newer/higher trimmed version. Everything feels much faster and smoother. Has anyone else seen anything to confirm that?

There are 3 Snyc 4 based head units for Bronco, the 8" base, 8"advanced, and 12"advanced. The later 2 use NXP's i.MX 8 series processors that allow a fully networked vehicle, connected services, and more advanced voice recognition. The base unit is only partially networked, and not with the cluster.

I have lux and use apple car play. I've never once been able to see the turn by turn in the gauge cluster and I've had the latest software update for the bronco for 3 months.
