Cool revive.

Oil brands can be personal, but any of you even showing or giving a damn at all, means your engine will be well protected; mark of an enthusiast.

This was covered in another thread recently, but I’ll say it again, AMSOIL is nectar from the gods; it just is. Best oil for an off-road American made vehicle driven hard.

That said, MotorCraft is damn good ConocoPhillips oil. The blend is just fine for your Ford, but since I’m using the dealership for now to change my oil, I specified Full-Synthetic MotorCraft. If I could get them to use AMSOIL, I would, but Ford’s oil meets the company spec and that’s what‘s most important.

We can joke about Ford Motor Company all we want, but they are a top 5 global engine builder, period and that’s saying a lot. Ford knows engines, Ford knows Motorsport, and Ford knows oil.

Some think we’re wasting money, but when your engine is run hard, the little things matter more than when it’s just a grocery getter.

My first question would be are you not buying Top Tier fuel???

My second is a comment. In the days or carburetors and no catalytic converters we used a product called Motor-Klenz ( they have a diesel equivalent) as a fuel additive and would pour a 50-50 mix of it and gas through carb barrels while running. Big clouds of exhaust smoke and endcresulylt was carb throats clean as new and appatlrenyltly also intake runners and head.
Marvel Mystery Oil.......my dad used to dump a can in the fuel tank and smoke screen the neighborhood twice a year!

Rat's tests have been debunked there ad nauseum.

I have no horse in either race--just sharing.

Been there years ago, learned a few things but everyone has their own opinions about oil. Oil change interval is more important than which oil. You can't go wrong with most major brands. I'll be using Mobil 1 from Walmart.

I had an oil analysis done. This was Amsoil. Report came back beautiful.

Maybe it would be the same with an other oil…I will never know. My report came back beautiful. Less wear and tear than expected. Cool engine temps.

I wont be using anything else.
