Last week there was a $100 rebate offer. Not there this week. I'd guess they have a pre-set pricing structure.

Armageddon Turbo & Performance doesn't charge sales tax and they have a promo code "SUMMER" that will get you I think 5% off.
However I was told they have a 8-9 week time shipping time frame.

It is owned by the same company as AMP Research (maybe other way around?). In any case they are the same or related companies.

Do the chat and negotiate your price with the customer service/chat representative. They knocked off hundreds when I purchased mine steps. I got mine for $1500. I ordered when they were hard to find too!

Ok. So I'm bringing this thread back for a few observations.
If you get AMP powersteps just get the REGULAR steps. Don't waste your money on the "extreme" steps. I did and I regret it. I'm such a sucker for marketing BS.
They're EXTREME they must be better!
No.
My steps shipped with one wrong bracket which caused me to not be able to attach one of the motors on the driver side. The passenger side was fine and both motors went on fine. While I was waiting for the correct bracket for the driver side I just used it with the one motor and it was fine.
There is zero need for two motors to operate the steps. There was zero difference in the operation of the side with two motors and the side with one.

I kind of wish I had gotten the Rock Slide Engineering steps. I hate the way they look but at least they protect the vehicle. I like the way the Amp steps look when retracted MUCH more but if I go off road it's a PITA to have to take them off and put the rock rails back on.

I agree only one motor is necessary. I think you can buy replacements if the motor goes out. I have the regular set with one motor and they work perfectly…smooth as silk with 100% functionality.

I had the RSE steps on my jeep…a completely different application. The AMP steps are not for rock crawling and should not be purchased by anyone planning to play on the rocks.
The RSE steps do not work as well as the AMP steps and make a loud ‘clank’ sound when they operate.
My RSE drivers side steps would often not work when the door opened. Customer service was so-so with RSE.
